The hotel made up for a mistake letsbookhotel.com made. They accommodated my reservation even though letsbookhotel.com had never sent it to the hotel. Breakfast- great value for the $$. I have eaten all around Boston and it was surprising good and didn't break the bank. It is obvious Wyndham is upgrading this hotel, I think they are going in the right direction. I would stay there again as its location is incredible for waking to all attractions in downtown Boston.
all reviews » The location is wonderful. You're within walking distance to almost everything of interest in the city. There is a Whole Foods next door as well if you want to get something life fresh fruit. The rooms are spacious and clean -- and we got one with a wonderful view of the Charles River. I'm not sure if it was worth all the money we paid for it, but it was a weekend in a centrally-located hotel in Boston. I guess the price made sense. A perfect place on a warm sunny day - we used the pool, which was small but empty. Location is fantastic! We had a king bed room at the end of the hall (room 400) which had a little alcove - just perfect for the cot which my 10 year old slept on. Very polite and helpful staff. Wish we could have stayed longer!. Free wifi, comfortable beds and really helpful reception staff. Also a convenient location in the attractive Beacon Hill area close to public transport and in easy walking distance for the Freedom Trail, North end, Back Bay, and Financial distance. Also close to car free running paths alongside the Charles River. The receptionist, Samantha checked us in Saturday (March 23) afternoon. She was incredibly helpful, had a great personality, and was an excellent hotel representative. She told us about a medical rate that we hadn't known about, which was unexpected and very helpful after the stress of my wife's surgery. It was my first time in Boston and loved it. The hotel was very close to the market and all sites around town. We walked everywhere. The hotel was very clean and we had a nice view as we were on the 12th floor. Will definitely be returning to Boston to visit again and will stay at this hotel again. I contacted the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill to inform them that it was my boyfriends 25th Birthday. They were so lovely. In honor of my boyfriends birthday they upgraded our room, comped our breakfast for two days and sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room. I especially liked the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, the all-included internet service, and the proximity to many of Boston's monuments and historical sites. There was a problem with the reservation and the friendly staff gave us another room immediately without any problem. That was very nice. The new room was very big. The hotel was very conveniently located within easy walking to Boston Common and downtown. The T was also nearby. The food we had in the restaurant was good. Very accomodating; we were there during the Boston Marathon, and the Wyndham staff were sensitive to the energy during that time. Very friendly and helpful. I liked the ease of check in and check out. The hotel was nice and very comfortable. The continental and breakfast was nice, as well as the service. The staff, Manny in particular was extremely helpful. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. We had a great time and plan on returning soon!. I liked the fact that I could leave the fan on constantly to cover outside noise. It is across the street from MGH, so noise is there. good location with T-station three blocks away. We also did not have a mini fridge in our room and would have appreciated having one with a Whole Foods next door. Parking is expensive, but this is a Boston-wide problem!. Lack of a kettle for making tea (there was only a coffee machine. The mattress was too hard, and the pillows were too soft. An additional set of firmer pillows, which many hotels now have (e.g. 2 soft, 2 firm) would help. The hotel room was a bit on the expensive side, especially after taxes (it came to $276/night, which is not affordable for most Americans). It is quite expensive, or at least the price when we went there was expensive (graduation week). Should have a classier lobby and restauarant - they were sort of bland. It was a fine place, but nothing to distinguish it in particular. Paying $50 to park my car. I do realize that's common at all the hotels but I still don't like it. We were uncomfortable with the cleaning staff knocking on our door at 9:00 a.m. on the day we were to check out to clean the room. I had requested a late check out so we were not checking out until 1:00. For the price we paid, I cannot believe we did not have a refrigerator or microwave in our room. The decor in our room needed some updating. Everyone was extremely friendly, even the executive chef we met in the elevator, but there was one exception, Anna (?) older woman with bleached blonde hair at check-in, she interrupted our conversation with our check-in employee to rudely correct something I was saying!?! Never heard of such a thing or seen it in all my years of travel!. close to hospital, some siren noise. Expensive limited hours room service. No vent fan in bathroom; No mini-refrigerator in room; Had to go down 2 floors to find functioning ice machine;. Nothing. Adult beverage prices. The cost, but Boston is an expensive city anyway - or maybe I'm just a frugal Scot!!. The 'complimentary coffee' in the room is disgusting, an insult to coffee drinkers. It would be better to have good coffee available for all guests in the lobby than wasting money on stuff in the rooms which is undrinkable. Poor ventilation in the bathroom. Room was a bit small, but adequate. I did not like the fact that I had to pay $300 for one night & then pay $50 to keep our car in a garage for one night at the same hotel?? I know this is the "Big City" and all but seriously!! All we were there for was a Bruins game,and we would use this option a lot more if it weren't so expensive! Maybe td & Wyndham should get together and come up with a package deal, tickets room & parking at a reasonable price?. Had to haggle over price -- Had to point out letsbookhotel.com agreement and the lower price. They quickly honored that but I had to point out the difference. pillows too flat. We stayed for two nights but were billed for three nights on our credit card. We are waiting to see if the third charge goes away before calling the hotel. 45$ for Parking seemed a bit much to me. 5$ extra to get eggs on "complimentary" breakfast was also a bit anoying. Little pricey. I was charged twice for my stay, the computers at the front desk were down, and one of the valet workers did not seem to know what he was doing and how to explain to us what to do when we arrived. Nothing. I knew the fair price of the room was too good to be true, 40 dollars to park is outrageous and next time I will stay at a hotel with free parking for sure, sorry you guys failed miserably on this. Cold coffee at breakfast. Lack of information in the room. Boston hotels are too pricey for what they offer. Wifi is very slow. I thought the bathroom was in need of updating. Parking should be included!!!. Driving and parking in Boston can be a nightmare. The weather. expensive breakfast, but it was delicious. TV did not work well.
