This was my third stay at the Mangrove and the friendliness of the staff instantly make you feel welcome and if you have walked into your second home. Rowena in reception is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean, modern in design and spacious. I had a nice view overlooking the mangrove and mountains. The quality of the food and service is excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for a city stay or as a more economical option to a beach front hotel as its opposite the cornich.
all reviews » This hotel is situated in front of the RAK creek with nice views. Very clean and comfortable hotel The front desk staff Khaled and Harat were very helpful and friendly. We were upgraded to a executive suite. The hotel offers the facilities of the other two hotels Beach Hotel and the Beach Resort Hotel (private beaches, pools and facilities thereon) free of charge. We visited both resorts and really had a wonderful time. Highly recommended. Hotel was very nice, I stayed with family. The hotel room was very clean and secured, I had booked Executive room but Hotel Reception upgraded me for a Suite room as I had booked the hotel thru letsbookhotel.com which was amazing. We got vouchers to use the Bin Majid hotel Swimming pool it was nice one. I will definitely recommend all for this Mongrove hotel. The hotel staff Mostafa, Deepak and Ram all are very freindly and helpful. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Very spacious, comfortable and well maintained room. Brilliant breakfast included in price. Free twice daily shuttle to sister beachside hotel with much better large pool and spacious grounds. Very good and reasonable a la carte menu (dinner buffet good but a little expensive comparatively). Just across the road from the 'Corniche' (waterfront promenade). We stayed at the hotel previously when it just opened ,, the hotel was just the same as if new ,, it is clean comfortable with new nice furnitures.. The hotel location allows you to have a very beautiful view on the mangroves!! Upon our arrival we were upgraded to one king room with a balcony and a suite.. Staff were kind and very helpful ready to assist and help. Got upgraded to suite. Rooms are large and clean. Good strong air con. Room service was quick. Checking in and out was quick and reception helpful when asking about local restaurants. Location is excellent next to corniche and room view was amazing in morning. Room felt like 5 star(excluding bathroom). The hotel has excellent location overlooking the creek. Room and houskeeoing are perfect. Breakfast is great and many varities. the access to bin-maged beach resort is wonderfull . beach and swimming pool are fantastic. I would call the hotel you receive value more than you pay. Actually I heard About this Hotel from my friend and it was first time to visit RAK but in fact we enjoyed alot and this hotel is very nice because the staff their welcoming us since check in with upgrade till check out with smile. The room was lovely, very modern, spacious and clean, with a good selection of T.V. channels and a well stocked mini bar. The food in the Chinese Restaurant was good. Reception was very efficient on both check in and check out. A very good quality/price ratio. Large comfortable rooms and nice location with views over the rak corniche and creek. Booze price much better than in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Perfect starting point for trip to the Eastern coast. Conveniently located hotel ideal for business people and small families too. View of mangroves is very relaxing. Beautifully landscaped roadside walks are really enjoying. Staff is also helpful and the meals are also good. i think i had no problem in Mangrove at all. Didnt have time to try restaurants but the Chinese looks nice from outside, reception very efficient. the service is good the waitress and waiter have a good service especially the housekeeping they have very good service (michelle c.) all in all i'm so happy and i enjoyed staying in the hotel. During each of my three stays, I have not experienced anything that I did not like about this hotel. Restaurant bill had 10% service charge added AND a prominent line for 'tips' (which I ignored unless there had been some extra service) Should be one or other, not both. Only small pool, not heated, but with jacuzzi (which when we tried to use it was over heated, though that was fixed). The suite in which my kids stayed in didnt have towels until requested.. It also didn't have a hairdryer One of the floor lamps didn't work while I wasn't able to switch off one of the table lights...however to be honest I didn't mention this to the housekeeping for fixing ... And all this was in the suite One last comment is preferably don't open the windows at night as some mosquitos may get in and give you a hard time. Bathroom was rough, finishing does not meet the actual room. Feels like you jump from 5 star to 3 star. Equipment in room was lacking, no iron, no robes. We ate in rainbow restaurant international cuisine. This was below average. The cost of the room is high and should be 20% cheaper. swimming pool in the hotel is very small but having access to bin-maged beach resort is alternative. We ate in Noodles Restaurant. Excellent food but when the bill came we were charged 60 for 2 beers, instead of the menu price of 40. Apparently we were given draught beer which was not on the menu. After arguing twice the bill was eventually changed, but no apology made. The bathroom hairdryer!. I didn't experience or faced any problem and we gave them some positive comment like parking area and swimming pool. The price of soft drinks in the pool bar seemed expensive compared to elsewhere in the hotel. The beach club on offer (at sister hotel) isn't that great and it seems that it is occupied mainly by Eastern Europeans. Toilets get easily wet due to the design. It may be advisable to introduce a shower curtain. If the hotel can provide free Wi-Fi it would very useful. The swimming pool even though it is very small it would be acceptable if they could have the temperature control facility for the whole pool. there was nothing to not like about. everything was absoulutely wonderful. Pool is small and the noise of the generator , but you can do sisha in pool too. Took a bit long for my coffe but it was ok and very nice. the pool is very small and also the parking lot is not enough for the guest but still they can manage. Parking was very difficult although staff helped us park very promptly. Rainbow restaurant staff were a little less friendly than all the other staff and a little cold with their behaviour. Less info about places to visit in Ras Al Khaimah. No enough parking because always so crowded the but still they can manage it. The road between the hotel and Corniche is very loud on Friday nights. I chose the room for the view but I could hear cars showing off until 2 am. No free wifi which put a damper on my work. Bathtub was dirty, no free Wifi, attention to detail was missing for example Bedroom tv wasn't working etc. The swimming pool was very small and too cold for Winter swimming. But no complaints at all otherwise. parking space limited. Last time we paid less and they upgrades us the room and this time, hotel full they didnt upgrade us. Anyway room is big but I would appreciate for Suite next time. Prices are more expensive now. Nothing. sound proof windows would be a great addition in the rooms... The pool was extremely small and the gym was smelly. Our bathroom was humid and with a wet floor all the time. Facilities are very limited. Swimming pool can not fit more than 2 people. There was no prayer direction arrows inside the room. The breakfast bofet was slightly limited in options. One minor issue was the noise from the generator at the back side of the hotel. Noise sensitive guests should ask for a room to the front. Once in the rooms, the noise from the outside was not blocked out completely. The breakfast buffet was limited and could have include fried eggs and a variety of other eats. Nothing!. Small Swimming Pool. None. 1. smell in the hotel and in the room was very strong and not good 2.room was not clean enough+ bathroom 3.not all items in bathroom worked. N/A. On the pool deck, which was very nice for a small, budget hotel, there was a large generator right behind the hotel. Not sure who it belonged to, but it looked pretty permanent and was very noisy!. Health club not available only small swimming pool. WI-FI is not free. I didn't like the price of the food because it is too much.
