VAT will be introduced across the UAE on 1 January 2018. The rate is likely to be 5%. Should there be a change in the date of VAT implementation or in VAT rate, it will be added on guest bill upon departure. Ajman, the smallest of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, is located 25 km (20-30 minutes) from Dubai International Airport and next to Sharjah, "the Cultural Capital of the Arab World".
