Was way better than I was expecting for the price. Only had a twin room and it had a hydrobath (stayed one night, so didn't get chance to use it) Possibly recently done up? all reviews » Beyond my expectations! The room exactly looks like photos shown on the website. Staff has lack of understanding English but were helpful on any kind of issue. WiFi works great. 10 minutes walk to Ukraina shopping mall. Cab will cost $5-10 to take you to down town. The room was large and comfortable in part of the 4th wing of an enormous building; walking distance from the train station. We were suprised why we cannot get the lift to the 4th floor. Quite far from city center. Bathroom. The building is hot at night although the rooms do have air-conditioning units. We tended to put ours on whilst we were out in the evenings to cool the room down and then turned it off for sleeping. Slight problem at check in that they had us down as room only when we had booked to include breakfast. Fortunately we had the confirmation with us that stated breakfast was included in the rate. They eventually accepted the suituation although a bit grudgingly. Room was not cleaned during my stay in 3 days. But i was to lazy to ask for it. There is no atmosphere, and the entrance of the hotel is not very clear when you arrive late at night at the addres. But in overall more positive aspects. noise from the street; breakfast menu (you can take only 1 from 4 options); I reserved room with balcony, but don't received. As the place is not easy to find, a hint for visitors: instead of giving a hotel name which taxi drivers not always know, mention "Diplomat Hall".
