Lovely venue to stay, right in the centre of town opposite the old post office, a national trust property well worth a visit. The rooms were adequate but spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable, bed linen, towells very good quality white and clean. Breakfast was served in the bar area, quality and presentation good. Car parking at the side of pub that was free to residents. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
all reviews » 3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!. We were 3 of us, my husband & 19 yr old, just staying for the night as we were meeting up with people. It was very reasonable - £126. We had a flat next to the pub with 3 bedrooms, tv in each & a lounge with cooking facilities. It overlooked the car park so was very light.The breakfast was good, a choice of cooked food, cereal, toast, juices. Staff were helpful. Very spacious. 3 bedroom flat great for family groups or adults not wishing to share beds. Huge comfy beds. Lounge and kitchen. Large bathroom,well equipped. Double glazed windows that can be opened. Fabulous facilities for disabilities. Great location for exploring the area. Staff very helpful when needed. Breakfast. Variety of eating and drinking areas. Free Wi Fi. Loved the location - so close to so many beautiful beautiful places. Hospitable and friendly service (Billy even helped us carry our luggage up to our room!!). Tintagel and the surroundings are mesmerising. Location Parking. nothing to dislike. We have 3 children and have traveled all over GB. This is one of the priciest places we've stayed. However, it was less expensive than many of the other lodgings in the area, and it was very nice, so it was still a good value for our money. We would definitely recommend it to friends. At first we were worried as there was an amusement arcade nearby but actually this close at 6pm so wasn't a problem. Toilet lock difficult to reopen resulting in child being locked in. Flat above amusement centre slightly noisy during day. Car park surrounds accommodation. Not a thing. Nothing. Really, nothing -. There is nothing to say here everything was fantastic :)). Having to leave. The bathroom smelled a little moldy but it wasn't a huge problem. No negatives. Lack of A/C - but this may often not be an issue!. One of our rooms didn't have ensuite. This is ok for 3 days but if I was stopping longer would like ensuite to both rooms. The bathroom was separate to the room & not en-suite. It may be that I didn't fully understand this at the time of booking & whilst it wasn't a huge problem I would have preferred en suite. Breakfast wasn't very good but it didn't worry us as the rest of it was great. The weather!!!!!. Meals were a bit disappointing. Check out was a little early but it did get us up and about instead if wasting the morning. The room we stayed in (room 4) was perfectly comfortable but the en suite did not adjoin the room which wasn't ideal. This wasn't clear upon booking but was fine for us (they did provide us with robes for crossing the corridor. All the dogs where I was eating. Bathroom could be updated. Nothing. nothing to dislike. The saff could be more knowledgable and more sensitive about vegetarianism. The breakfast was poor and there wasn't much choice, especially if you are used to continental breakfasts. There were no curtains in the room. Paying balance on arrival - I am used to paying for accommodation and any meals or extras on departure. Lack of en-suite. I mistakenly assumed a "private bathroom" was en-suite but it was not! Did not feel customer was king. Downstairs Lounge/Bar , Sitting area , just low grade Pub. Tiny room. Not checked, prior to our occupancy,items missing. Staff could not show us how to turn on Heating.Manager had to respond on both occaisions. Shower would not drain on first usage, I had to fix. Breakfast was poor, cheapest of the cheap, plates cold, mushrooms cold. Obviously run on the basis of limited accommodation in Tintagel.
