relaxed atmosphere. plenty of facilities. little things like shampoo/condition, bodywash and towels in gym/swimming pool etc. just that nothing was too much trouble for the staff and that they made it a most enjoyable stay. helpful staff .felt safe as woman travelling alone. Spa excellent. very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, lovely rooms. Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Breakfast was very good. would have liked information about disk parking before I arrived.There was nothing that I disliked about the hotel, but the pool was not easily accessible, and rather dimly lit, for people with disabilities. There are limited rooms for people with disabilities ( eg with a walk in shower , and also hand rails on the wall in the bathroom for safety in getting in and out of the bath for a shower). More chairs with arms in the dining room would help elderly people. Room a little warmer..Car parking difficult (although not hotel's fault). Rooms at the back of the hotel should not be charged at full price.Price was high, but did include free use of facilities, otherwise excellent. lack of information on how to find it, and parking not on site. a very hot room, when opening window a motor was running continuously outside and it was very noisey. The tv in our room did not work very well and on complaining although they tried to fix it it still wasnt very good.just the price, for the lenghth of time we were in the room.......not worth £230 . also the leisure area locker rooms need upgrading.......not good on the eye. Poor bar service at night. On arrival at 9:30pm room was not made up, cleaning products left in the room. Out of 3 room service breakfasts ordered only one was correct. Parking was a big issue, although we were given a parking permit for theduaration of our stay we were not guaranteed a parking spot so we endedup driving some distance from the hotel to find a park .You are betteroff leaving the car at home and travelling by Train. the bath wasn't clean. we had to wait for a breakfast table and then for the full english buffet. Work men in the room adjacent. price. booked twin room but received double. Hotel staff agreed their fault but this was not rectified. arrived sat 4;45 chilled out in room till 6;15 went for a swim only to be told by the cleaner behind reception at leasure centre swimkming pool was closed. Woud have gone earlier if had known was closing early. Information could have been put on screen behind reception in lobby. food average. allocated a third floor room where refurbishment was ongoing i.e decoraters on the whole floor Complained and got moved to a lower floor. We were allowed a dog in our room, but not in public places, so we had to eat outside (incl. breakfasts). Hotel renovations were ongoing during our stay which meant it was both noisy and dirty. Room was above kitchen so there were constant food smells.the room we stayed in was small. No gym, pool or health suite. Long check in/out wait.Small rooms, tiny pool, building work going on not mentioned on hotelinfo! Very expensive and poor value for money. Initially we were put up in a room facing the exhaust. Next one was so wonky that cupboards or drawers did not shut properly. Creaky floorboards. We checked out within 20mins, room too small, facing a garage ( very noisy).

Travelling information

Situated in the South Cliff & Bay area of Scarborough the Crown Spa is ideally located for Town, Beach and Countryside. From York: Follw the a64 which will direct you to the heart of Scarborough and the Railway Station. At the Railway Station turn rigt, go through the traffic lights and over the Valley Bridge. Take a sharp turning left once over the bridge and up 'Belmont Road' and continue to the top of the hill to the cliff top.
The Crown Spa Hotel is located on your right. From Whitby (North): Follow the a171 which will again bring you tot he Railway Station in the Town Centre. Follow the above directions to the Hotel. On foot from the Railway Station: Turn right out of the Railway Station and right at the crossroads. Walk past the traffic lights and over Valley Bridge. At the end of the bridge turn left and walk up the hill - 'Belmont Road'. The Crown Spa Hotel is on teh cliff top on your right. The journey by foot should take no longer than 15 minutes.
