    We are walking from John o Groats to Lands End and used the West Highland Way as part of the route. Ashbank is right on the West Highland Way and was perfect for us. We received a very warm welcome and were instantly made to feel at home. Varuious eating places near by. having just completed the west highland way this was one of our top two.

    For a chain, it's well done and as personal as a chain can get. The staff was really friendly and helpful and even let us check in a bit early. The location is right on the bus line and the foot path to the Falkirk Wheel runs right behind the attached restaurant. We enjoyed a good dinner in the restaurant but skipped breakfast to head to the Edinburgh airport. Only stayed one night.

    I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities provided. All staff were very pleasant, helpful and courteous, both reception and domestic. The Harvester restaurant could not have been handier and I had no complaints at all with the food available. Laura on reception was genuinely helpful and a pleasure to have as the first person you meet when you come into this premier Inn.     Staff was friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a family room. The rooms were spacious even with the extra single bed brought into the room. The full size bed was very large and comfortable. Ensuite bathroom featured bath/shower. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Edinburgh.     The hotel was very interesting and had a real antique look about it. The bedrooms were well appointed with ;nice soaps towels etc... they even provided Sherry in the room...lovely. The bed was a kingsize madfe of 2 single beds... hence an un comfortable bit in the middle...I hate that but otherwise everything else was fab. Breakfast and service w... what people say » as lovely.... I cant waitto go back for afternoon tea sometime... thanks - The turndown service a night was a nice surprise. We loved also discovering all the different nooks and crannies of the public rooms. Delightful real fires in all public rooms including the dining room give a real country house feel.

    Old Churches House was superb in every way. The food was excellent. The room was extremely comfortable. The shower was great. The location across from Dunblane Cathedral was quiet and yet awe inspiring. The atmosphere of the House was delightful - cosy, simple, not "cookie cutter" at alln not over the top or glitzy, luxurious simplicity, actually.... what people say » Extremely tasteful. We have already recommended Old Churches House to family and friends, and would definitely stay there again. - We had a very good room with good facilities. Friendly staff. In-house restaurant was very good so we ate there on all 3 nights. The situation is superb, opposite Dunblane Cathedral. We were able to park right outside the hotel in the very quiet street and if that had not been possible the public car park was just across the churchyard and in sight. We had a great stay.
