The accommodation was spacious clean and with remarkable views. The location was perfect for what we wanted. The breakfast provisions and the complimentary wine were an added bonus. The staff could not have been more helpful. The free parking and the excellent location meant we could park the car when we arrived and not use it again till we left. We would definitely recommend Admiralty Quarter.
all reviews » In Portsmouth for 3 days,location was superb within easy walking distance of the Historic Dockyard, restaurants and shops. Fantastic views from the apartment which was on the 12th floor and very modern. Car parking was very secure and free. We would definitely book this accommodation again loved it. Excellent apartment with the added bonus of private parking,superbly located on the 12th floor with breath-taking views of the harbour, Spinnaker Tower and Gosport. Easy walking to the Historic Dockyard (2mins) and the restaurants and shops at Gunwharf Quay (5mins). The Historic Docks were wonderful and the Mary Rose Exhibition was the best Museum our family have visited in the U.K. The apartment was in a perfect location and had the comfort and facilities we required for a family which included 2 people in their mid 80's. The location was fantastic for my purposes. The apartment was surprisingly well-appointed and comfortable. The view from the balcony/patio was outstanding. All very good indeed and very good value. The staff we met were all very helpful. The location, the space and privacy worked especially well as there was just my friend and I sharing the apartment so we had a room of our own rather than tiny twin beds you find in a traditional hotel environment. . Staff very friendly and helpful. Supply of necessary things in place (juice, buiscuits, wine etc) when arriving late, didn't need to shop right away. Everything was perfect there was nothing we did not like. Nothing of any significance. We had difficulty finding the office of the car park manager on arrival as it is not signposted and its location is not that obvious. And secondly - The Sky package provided was only basic, no sports channel only news, for some no problem but for us an irritant. Nothing to dislike. Only 1 set of keys were available and initially we thought this would not be a problem but it proved to be a bit inconvienent. It was difficult to locate the office to get the keys. As suggested by other visitors a sign would be good. The only negative was that the appartment had not been really well cleaned prior to our arrival - it was not dirty, but there were crumbs everywhere and the floor was sticky. Not a drama, but it detracted from what would otherwise have been a five star experience. The information regarding the apartment was very limited when booking. For example, what was available in the apartment, such as hairdryer and towels and which apartment was actually available. The location had rather loud traffic noise but then I am used to not having any so others might not find it an issue at all. I am only 5ft 2in so the cupboard in the kitchen was a bit high, but I come across that almost everywhere. I cant find anything I didn't like. We were there during the big storm and the noise of the wind made it very difficult to hear the TV, even after the storm had passed. The big wall to ceiling window in the lounge blew open in the night and we struggled to close it which was frightening in the storm!. Wifi was not available in downstairs bedrooms. little bit cold in living room due to cold outside and large windows. I have written separately to the management. Only 1 lift working in the admiralty tower. Some dirty crockery. £300 deposit taken in addition to full payment and only repaid after we'd left. Only became aware of 2 double beds after booking (photos suggest otherwise). A minor matter was that there was some uncertainty when we arrived concerning our booking. It was quickly sorted but it could have been as we were told that the property was full. Having to take rubbish down to bins. Washing Machine didn't work properly. Late Check In time.
