The view of the harbour from my room. The hotel was central - very near rail and ferry links. The accommodation was compact and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and welcoming, but unobtrusive - a homely hotel with a pleasant pub / bar. the hospitallity was excellent from staff and there local clientell.....nothing was any bother to them ,,,to ensure your comfort....and the food was freshly cooked everytime which i really enjoyed......will be returning soon. all reviews »

The Kelvin Hotel had no record of our reservation luckerly they were not full that evening and a double room was available for our stay. The organisation of breakfast service leaves a lot to be desired.
