Beautiful, historic building decorated in period style including the retention of fantastic (but tiny) lift with manually operated cage doors. Staying here made me feel like I was a diplomat! Friendly, welcoming staff. Free WiFi in my room. Decent breakfast. Excellent location close to Underground stations, shops, pubs and cafes. Great boutique hotel in a lovely, safe, upscale neighborhood in London within walking distance to Victoria Theater, shopping in Westminster & the UG. Budget-friendly considering the outrageous hotel prices in London. The staff was very courtesy & helpful. Our room was clean, spacious & comfortable. We will return.

The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the service was fantastic. The hotel had a relaxed feel. The beds were very comfortable and the heating in the room was just righgt. The location of the hotel was great and just a short walk from all major shops. The receptionist was welcoming and the room comfortable and nicely equipped with all amenities. Would definately recommend and stay in this hotel again. Also loved the parking just outside until 8.30am :). The room was nice, clean and pleasant. The bathroom was very clean, very nice and the towels were soft. We felt at home. Also - there was a drinking water facility on the floor. The room dad a big balcony. The breakfast was good, also it lacked of fresh vegetables . Warm ambient ,decoration typically London style.Is a small hotel type boutique ,friendly staff high quality of service .The area is superb,very exclusive and private and you have all the services near by, including nice restaurants and clothing stores,. The distance to the next Tubestation is a little bit far, especially with luggage. - Cleaning lady did not knock before coming in (twice) - Room was in basement window on top was blurred and did not let enough light in. Decor very tired. TV not fitted securely on stand and too small for room. Size of room, elevator. the Wifi speed and signal. Some rooms have the water tank in the bedroom not in the bathroom. Quality of breakfast. Room was very tired. Walls very thin (could hear snoring!). Not exactly as I was hoping from the description. In the 3 stars hotel was no fridge, the room was very windy, was in the attic, the bathroom in dust and dirt, old paint everywhere. Very strong smell of cigarettes. Not enough staff manning welcome, room tatty and very old fashioned, no ironing equipment, asked for iron and when delivered it didn't work. Furnishings a little worn. Low water pressure in shower. Old TV. The Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. It was very noisy we had trouble sleeping. In one room the door was damaged, there were holes in the door. Our rooms were located underground and thru the tiny window we had a 'fabulous' view at the garbage bins in the backyard of the hotel. Furthermore it was very cold in the rooms since the heating was not on. All in all a very very unpleasant experience. Not recommendable at all.
