Over the years, the building has housed a school as well as the hospital that saw the birth of mathematician and Enigma code breaker Alan Turing. Guests can enjoy a short stroll down the scenic canals or head to the city centre, which is reachable in less than 15 minutes by tube. The rooms are embellished with traditional dark wood furniture and antiques. All beds are wrapped in soft Egyptian cotton linen and complimentary extras such as bottles of water, newspapers and tea and coffee making facilities are put at guests’ disposal. A wide range of breakfasts are available each morning, including full English breakfasts, American-style pancakes, a variety of eggs, or a continental selection. Guests can also enjoy the Persian restaurant Polo Terrace, featuring an airy and light ambiance where a vast glass roof lets the daylight stream in. Warwick Avenue Tube Station is just 2 minutes’ walk away from The Colonnade, and Lords Cricket Ground can be reached in 20 minutes on foot. Just a 4-minute walk, the idyllic Regents Canal has a puppet theatre, a floating art gallery, and a variety of restaurants.

Great location just around the corner from Warwick Avenue tube, so you're only a few stops away from the centre of London. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and we we're upgraded to the JFK suite. This is a generously sized room with a little mezzanine or loft area, which could be used for storage or as a dressing room. There's a good sized ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath. The room was decorated wig heavy fabrics in dark colours, not exactly my style but it does help block the.

It is conveniently close to a tube station with easy access to the heart of london and without the price tag.The decor is old English with lovely furniture and comfortable beds. The staff were helpful and unobtrusive. I would recommend this hotel if you are not into large impersonal hotels. Excellent friendly hotel, felt very intimate, staff couldnt have been more helpful. We love the quiet location, close to the quaintness of the canal, yet only minutes from the tube into the hustle and bustle of central london. There are lovely restaurants very close by. The Area is upmarket very clean and quiet. 1 minute from the boats with trips to Camden Lock and its markets. 3 pubs within 5 minutes walk, and the tube is 100 yards from the hotels main door so easy access to wherever you need to go. Finally the staff were great. This is one of my favourite places to stay in London. It has atmosphere and character, and a great history. That, combined with good service and lovely rooms and such a lovely location.... The location in Little Venice was terrific. The tube station was 100 meters away. The lift is very old and makes for a very unique and charming aspect of the hotel; however, it stopped working shortly after we got there. We were only there one night, so I don't know how long it took to fix it. Taking the stairs was no problem for us but I felt badly for the porter!. nothing. No tea making facilities in the room. the breakfast atmosphere is out of synch with the rest of the hotel. TV screen showing etc just doesn't work for me anywhere, let alone a nice hotel. Unfortunately breakfast is not inclusive at this property, and the premium charged is excessive, particularly in light of the fact that a premium breakfast could be had around the corner for half the price. Kitchen advertised as being open until 11.00, however service 20 minutes before this time was provided unhappily. room is small but enough for 2 of us, the coffee and tea is hard to find in the room which we didnt think there is until the 2nd day， the lamp on desk too big making the small room even smaller. Old buildings have problems sometimes but it comes with the charm of it all. The breakfast was unnecessarily complicated in terms of tariffs. First of all, you should offer it as part of the package - not an extra. Secondly, just have a choice of continental or full English, and not complicate it with other possible combinations. We had to ask what was part of what...such as can we have fruit juice and muesli with the pancakes? Odd. Room by elevator noisy at times, also easy to hear other rooms. towel heater on in hot weather and too close to toilet (room 35). Paying £6.50 for a packet of peanuts. The lift wasn't working. Bedroom over heated. Shower tap very difficult to operate, which hasn't improved since my last visit. Went to show in west end with my Son Returned to Collonade bar closed on Sat night to residents @ midnght which makes location bad if going to West End. Overall experience was disappointing. Needs serious updating. Did not justify cost. Room comfortable but elevator did not reach fourth floor and had tendency to stop between floors. Oldest working elevator in London is not a USP!. poor mattress quality, slightly too much noise in the room (heater or water?), no Breakfast included - the nice decoration doesn't justify the high price.
