The Seraphine on Kensington High Street is friendly, clean and comfortable. I booked a single room which was certainly compact but well equipped and good. The bed was very comfortable and it wasn't stuffy or hot. The shower room was attractive and had good quality fittings. Breakfast was excellent with a very pleasant atmosphere in the dining room. The position is brilliant - Hyde Park just over the road, Kensington's shops all around and the Albert Hall and Exhibitions within walking distance.

Close to High Street Kensington station. Across the road from Kensington park and Kensington palace. Walking distance to Royal Albert Hall. You can walk to Harrods if it's not raining. The location is amazing with great shops near by. Really I would recommend this hotel. Excellent location opposite Hyde park, few minutes walk from Albert Hall, shops, bars and restaurants right outside. No parking but we prebooked the ncp under Gardens Hotel directly opposite. Stylish comfy and quiet room. Nice modern bathrooms finished to high standard. My favorite hotel chain in London! The rooms are small but functional and comfortable. The location can't be much better and the little Italian restaurant next door just makes the package complete - there's a couple of nice pubs across the road as well!. You have to look carefully to find the Seraphine - its located on the first second and third floors and is accessed by just a single door between two restaurants. If I had to be picky, the rooms are very compact and the toaster was hard to control. Steps up to the reception but there is a lift to the other floors. Some language barriers with staff. Did not include a fridge (although it was never advertised as having one), rooms are small but great for backpackers and small groups with limited luggage. Lift was a little un-reliable, so found the stairs to top floor, tiring. If I had to be picky the windows were a little thin for a noisy city although it didnt disturb our night. the lift!. Nothing. Nothing about hotel. Our bedroom I think must have been over a bar with music (not connected to hotel) and this was loud enough for us to hear until quite late at night. No criticism of hotel. The room was rather small. There is no lift from the Ground floor, you had to carry your bags up to the reception on the 1st floor. Reception is up two sets of narrow stairs. Small breakfast area. Nothing. the breakfast could use a little punching up. Constantly dripping shower head which really annoyed me during the night! Also the "double" bed seemed small for the space, when the room could easily have accommodated a king size. This meant one of us could not use the bedside table - too far away!. Hard to walk round the bed as too tight to the furniture. nothing to report. Althoughthe staff felt with any enquiries well enough they were not particularly warm or friendly. Smallish room but still very comfortable. Breakfast is rather good but the choice of products is limited, the location of the lift and the reception on the second floor is not convenient. Some noise late at night outside. Basic rooms very small (but for our one night only, was ok I suppose). nothing. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, to the extent that it was impossible to sleep through the night. Small rooms Not enough noise reduction measures on windows at front as we stayed in room 202 Poor fitting windows. Room was small but well equipped . Compact as you may expect in central London. Bathroom a bit on the tired side. Toilet seat looked brown/stained due to age and needs replacing. The rooms at the front of the hotel are noisy due to the night club opposite, although my wife slept through it.
