Hotel Rafayel is a class act, it is grand design that mixes latest technology without being over bearing, and architecturally this is one of the finest hotels for the quality and the price I paid for. I took a suite and 223 is one great suite, it is huge and the facilities are immense. I would had to pay three or four times the sums I paid here in the west end, I never believed in their slogan of affordable luxury but it seems that luxury is available affordably at Rafayels. all reviews » I was very concerned as I had read few reviews about the location. I think location vise it on one of the best find, few minutes from my favorite haunt Blue Bird on the Kings Road. Locations is more than offset by unimaginable luxury of the rooms and the size of the corridors, immense public areas for a small hotel likes this added character and class to our entire stay. Very few hotels attract me to stay two evenings in a row for food and spa, this definitely did, will stay in future. . This is a really great boutique hotel, I recently stayed there whilst a trip to London and was really impressed by the quality and level of service provided. The size of my bedroom was much bigger than I had expected and the jet shower in my bathroom was amazing. The wifi internet is free and the room movies and mini bar were not overpriced. The ambiance of the hotel is chic and modern which I really liked and made a change from the norm. Had a great night's sleep on a really comfortable bed. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, very comfortable beds, great views, sleek and modern decor, tastefully furnished, very helpful staff, fulfills its promise on its ecofriendly nature. Even though the hotel is brand new, it has a fantastic prompt-time proactive staff to troubleshoot & attend to you whether hooking up for internet or working the shower jets when you're not a gizmo-and-gadgets person! The Hotel in London for value,situated on South of the river only stone throw from Chelsea with great walk way along the river, people still confuse South with Canary Wharf . If it was in 'centreville' it would compete with Sanderson. Rafayel is one up over Sanderson, the price is 1/3rd of West End, I really don’t want to pay thrice higher for far less service, I feel Rafayel is far too sensitive of its new status as class act and is unaware of its strengths, take advantage. Great view from room overlooking Thames and London Heliport. Lots of nice little touches in room such as over-bed mood light, TV in bathroom, integrated sound system with iPod, roomy shower and well equipped mini-bar (watch out its pricey if you get carried away!) Great location, 15 mins from Victoria in a cab. Hotel bar was fantastic in the sun sat on the embankment and the barman had a great sense of humour. We had booked 2 double rooms for my husband & myself & 2 friends, we were upgraded to a 2 bed apt which was lovely.The hotel was super , the staff very obliging, shuttle was a great bonus.After returning late ( 2.30am) to the hotel & requesting a bottle of wine to the room they were very accomodating even though it was difficult for them. Will stay here again definately . A very comfortable clean hotel with staff that were extremely courteous and attentive at all times. I liked the complementary taxi service to the nearest underground or overground rail network and the fact that the hotel was well sited on the bank of the river Thames. The hotel also also has an underground car park and I will use this as my future hotel of choice in London. I stayed in a junior suite and it was extremely spacious. The bathroom alone was twice the size of some of the other London hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. I ordered biryani from room service and it was delicious. The internet connect was fast and reliable. Because of its location there is nothing in the way of traffic noise. The bed was comfortable. The room was amazing. The bed was a full super king size mattress and not two smaller mattresses pushed together to make one bed (like so many other hotels have started to do) The whole room was luxurious especially the bathroom. The shower was brilliant and the bath had its own flat screen tv. We have stayed here before and will come again. Almost everything really! Great hotel that is very clean and spacious. The use of space and low level lighting gives a luxury feel throughout and the shower was superb. 44 bus route nearby goes direct to central London. Friendly staff and excellent value for money compared with similar hotels nearby. Hotel/room/bathroom / duvet all excellent , hotel let us drop bags early so we could go exploring, can book free shuttle to train station, tv channels were good, duvet was feathers. Bathroom was large, shower was excellent after a full on day, shuttle driver was a very friendly man a +++. The location was great, there is a complimentary shuttle bus to Clapham Junction station, you just have to book with reception. The room was superb. I requested the hotel made it a special stay for my girlfriend as it was her birthday and when we arrived there were petals all over tge floor to the bed and a nice birthday card from all the staff. Sge was very pleased so thabk you all so much for that. Fantastic location, the rooms where big and well appointed with everything you would need for a city stop over. The staff could not have been more friendly and did all they could to make my stay relaxing and enjoyable. Managers are far from action, left my review email to the owner, I expect improvements in my next May visit, what a shame sans this issue, hotel has a potential to beat Blake’s of Kensington hands down quality and price. . Battersea is perceived to be far though it is not, 10 minutes from Kings Road. Can't say there was anything negative!. Too good to be true, unaware of success and this is their biggest impediment but good for customers. Nothing major at all. All the little things were outweighed by the general excellent quality of everything else. Didn't stay long enough. There was nothing to dislike about the hotel. The lighting in the room is too subtle and some areas are basically in permanent darkness. The TV in room had a limited number of channels and the interface was not great. The in room dinning choice was poor, only a few main meals that I dodn't fancy much. Drinks in mini fridge were expensive so took our own from sainsburys ! :) one lady on reception want as helpful as the others. I thought the air conditioning in the restaurant was a little chilly, but that is a personal thing, it might be okay for others. The breakfast staff just need to keep on top of replenishing items when they are busy as there were a few times during breakfast where there were no bowls, butter, cutlery, on the whole the breakfast was lovely, the staff were trying their very best. nothing, would stay they again without any hestitation. Im a light sleeper so at night the air con was really loud even though it was off. The food and spa treatments are very expensive but u get what u pay for. The location wasent great but makes up for it inside. Nothing. The price for parking was a little high, so I managed to park for free in the side roads opposite the hotel. As in many hotels, the lighting (whilst lots of them) was fairly dull and tinged with yellow, including in the bathroom, which makes putting make up on very difficult! From a womans point of view, having something close to natural light is a real bonus. There was no privacy in the room as it overlooked the parking lot so you couldn't open the curtains and the lighting was very dim. The location was a bit farther out as well. Also my daughter emailed the hotel several times wanting to send us a bottle of champagne and they never responded to her until after our departure. Needs to have shampoos creams etc as small bottles not large ones screwed to the wall - gives it a travel lodge feel and let it down - no shampoo - if I had been with my husband he would have used my expensive shampoo which would have annoyed me. Room 209 had noisy fan in ceiling. Had to change room at 3.15 a.m. on first night. Hotel applied just a 3% discount - no longer do I feel like a cherished guest. It's a pity. Breakfast wasn't the best and was expensive. Pillows. Only one minor complaint: the lighting in the suite was not too user friendly. It was too dark. A very minor point, given all the positives. Nothing. Limited in room dining, poor TV interface. I stayed on the ground floor and it did feel a little bit like a shop window when the curtains were open. Although I was upgraded, the apartment was starting to age and the corridors were being painted at the time. There were lots of aggressive posters up aimed at the residents but not what you want to see as a hotel guest. It would have been great if breakfast was included in the price of the room. Hotel beautiful but good bus service yet not much nearby. Should promote nearby restaurants etc. Location is not ideal if you are flying from Heathrow airport. Poor and expencive brakfast. Loud in the morning from the cleaning staff, have to pay to watch movies. Having to be escorted to the car when I needed something out of it. Bed....but its a individuals choice that one. The service in the breakfast room was slow, tables unclear, staff fairly useless, unwelcoming and inefficent. Buffet ran out of almost everything. A big let down compared to the reception staff. Aloof staff on chek in, one of whom was clearly training a new receptionist and was condescending and rude to the trainee in front of guests! Not much sound proofing between rooms, the sounds of doors shutting, toilets flushing and taps / showers running were disturbing during the night!.
