Booked two double rooms got upgraded to a flat for nothing. Lovely jubley. well situated and clean. Can't complain I wanted a quiet clean bed for one night - and splashed out with £35 - but I am looking around - I think I could get cheaper (£25 is the figure I've been given) and aesthetically more pleasing within a private lodging. Next to the tube and night busses.
all reviews » Close to Clapham South Underground, bus stop outside, near local shops and 'Yellow Pages' in room was useful. Also had family rooms for great price. Breakfast was actually Tea or coffee, cereal, orange juice and plentiful hot toast. Just right for hungry swimmers competing at Tooting Bec Lido!. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good selection for breakfast.Nice room, nice neighborhood. well comunicated and clean. One staff member was cheerful.The hotel was nice and warm. The bedding was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was at the back, so was able to sleep well. Located in a nice part of town, very near bus, grocery shop, underground. Within 2nd zone (out of 6) - cheaper travel pass ticket.I liek dteh central loaclity within clapham, it was a short walk to bars and restaurants and the tube stations. Its location near a tube station and lots of restuarants. location was alright.. breakfast included. nice neighborhood. You do'nt have a -10 this is the dirtyest most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed I wuould'nt pay it in pennies it was trully disgusting. Clapham was a good location, hotel was close the Clapham south station. But the hotel was awful, probably the worst I ever stayed in!. the hotel was perfect situated for the bike ride only point we felt could be inproved if breakfast was offered asmany guests had to leave before the breakfast started at 8.00 and when cycling 54 miles would have been nice for some cereal or toast. tea in room was a welcome. Breakfast - how depressing was that?!! I reminded me of school 900 years ago. Also you sent a guy up "to measure the room" shortly after I arrived. A guy knocking on the door of a single female "to measure the room"? Most odd. I refused to open the door. No internet access.Breakfast is fairly simple. Almost no selection. it was cold. The fact that there was no lift and no one offered to carry case up stairs. there was no towels in the room,no spoons for the sugar,only half a toilet rolls,tv has no good reception,plus the room facing the street was very noisy,i could sleep all nite. balcon full with litters. Not so clean (cups used for tea were not cleaned in the next day and only one of the towels was changed). breakfast is rather poor. The staff was not kind at all, even if they gave me everything i asked for, the seemed like I always bothered them. very basic accomodation. hairdryer broken. It needs doing up,and old furniture replaced,drains stink. In short,it is an old building,it is all down to wear and tear. Breakfast is poor. The room was incredibly small, suitable only for sleeping in, If i had wanted to do any work there was no where to sit.better breakfast, clearness. General standard of fixtures and fittings in the room were appalling. Poor facilities but adequate for one night. The bathroom was more clean than the room it self!. Most of the rest of the staff were miserable and inattentive. breakfast was poor, rooms were dirty, and the windows (the ones that weren't smashed) did nothing to stop the noise of the busy high street below. There were damp patches in the corridor and it smelt awful. The carpet did not fit. There was a kettle, but no cups or tea making facilities. One of the plug sockets was smashed and in a dangerous condition. The shower looked so dirty I dared not use it. There was a build up of rubbish that had accumulated over years behind the shower. There was no waste paper bin or bin in the bathroom.No suplies in a kitchen corner, not even a glass!. The bed was hard, the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling, there was a cold draft from the window. Noisy during the night music coming from next room. noisy, dirty, service was bad..not very friendly staff, no room-service, not a central location. cleaning every three days!!!. There was a bucket in the middle of a hall way collecting water dripping from a light fitting - the light was on and this was en route to reception/the exit from our room! The shower was not clean. Upon arrival the staff member spoke constantly on his phone in a foreign language, laughing and joking, paying little attention to the fact I had a huge back-pack on my back and simply wanted a polite and easy check-in. He then checked me in whilst remaining on the phone and telling me to "hang on". He was terribly rude and irritating, the worst customer service I have recieved at a hotel ever.The Hotel was in dire need of an uplift. All of the corridors were filthy, caked in dust and in desperate need of a vacuum and the windows looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in months. Our room had a hole in the ceiling with debris coming out of it, the shower room was grimy, the linen didn't look particularly clean and the towels were only worthy of being used for cleaning. Noise from the street, out of date facility- bathroom, extremeley small rooms without a chair, for breakfast only cornflakes and toasts-no fantasy, damaged door closing. it was cheap so I did not have high expectations, but it was very dirty. The light in the room was so dull we couldn't see to get ready. the doors were heavy and squeeky. it was musty. the bathromm was nasty. the breakfast was crap.Rooms. Yes, the break fast was not to my expectation only avaible bread and some cheese amd tea, coffee. No other meals like egges.Reception was unfriendly, bathroom facility was worse than basic,decoration of room was awful, cleanliness was poor, tv provided lookedpositively unsafe, the "yard" outside the groundfloor window lookedlike a tip. lack of breakfast choice, white bread only! had to toast own. awfull smell in hotel. Did not sleep room next to main road with no double glazing.room and shower room very cramped.staff were a complete joke, did not want to help with anything and were very rude and unfriendly. Room was filthy and smelled awful. no lift and no -one to help with luggage even though there were 5-6 hotel staff sitting around the lobby chatting. would never stay here again. The accommodation which we had booked was not available. We were allocated a flat with 2 people whom we did not know with shared facilities. 2 of the beds had only a single sheet on them.They didn't empty the garbage bin while we were there (4 nights). The room were very dirty especially the bathroom. The hotel is next door to a big road so you can't really have the windows open because of the noise. Our room was on the loft. It was very dirty and small. The bathroom was under the room, so anothers used it ... The breakfest was the same every morning. It's a terrible hotel. I don't suggest anybody.everthing. Yes, many things. The bathroom was awful, the smell was really bad. The breakfast was not very good, slices of white bread and coca pops. So we ended up eating breakfast everyday. The hotel staff weren't very friendly at all and the safety within the hotel was bad as well. I will never stay there again.
