We enjoyed our stay very much at Hotel Makedonia! Room was very clean
& nicely decorated.. Just like the photos on their website. We
greatly appreciated the fruit basket, bottled water &
teas/kettle that were provided in our room. The shower had excellent
water pressure & towels were nice & fluffy. Iron & ironing
board were promptly delivered to our room upon request. Staff was
extremely helpful with directions & offered us a room on a lower
floor due to the amount of he. all reviews »
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The first room we got was leaning a bit and sensitive as we are we asked for another room and the staff helped us with everything and we got a superb room right away instead :) Big and spacy rooms with wooden floors instead of a carpet!
The breakfast was excellent and pretty much everything you want they had and more as well.
Nice area close to supermarkets and very close to the underground station. Around 3-5 min walk. The hotel is located .
Lovely staff who were very helpful as we arrived early with no sleep the previous night but allowed us into our room so we could relax , The Continental Breakfast was lovely so much to choose from , Room was clean and fresh with everything you needed , Quiet and relaxing hotel , In walking distance from tube station which was fab and the Emirates Stadium which is 10 mins walking from hotel ,.
Nice decor and furnishings in the room. The fruit bowl, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room were very welcome. The room was warm and quiet (when the window was closed). The bathroom was a reasonable size and clean. The staff members were helpful and polite. The continental breakfast was good and filled me up. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would go back again.
The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were efficient and very nice.Tea and coffee making provisions and the fruit bowl in the room were very welcoming. Very good transport connections and close to the centre. Probably the closest hotel to the Emirates stadium if you want to watch Arsenal or go to a concert.
The buffet breakfast was lovely (and although a fry up isnt an option),
they more than made up for it with everything else. Cereals, hams,
breads, cheeses, yogart, toast. Etc Very good value for money! Very
welcoming room. Liked the complimentary fruit bowl, teas coffees,
biscuits, bottled water, slippers and shower gels.
The staff were very welcoming.They helped us with luggage. Lovely welcome basket of fresh fruit in the beautifully decorated room.Thought it was such good value as the breakfast too was excellent.We were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get a bus 91 near St Pancras Station.Shall definitely return!!!.

Although the hallway didn't look like much, our room was very different. Very clean and very nicely decorated. I also liked that breakfast was available although we didn't take advantage of it. It was only a 5 minute walk from Caledonian Road tube station which was perfect for us.
Nice single room, not too small, clean, although it's a bit far from
center of London still quite easy to reach, located in between 2 tube
stations which is quite convenience to find connection to other places,
breakfast was good and friendly staff, nice restaurants around.
Welcoming staff, clean and well equipped room. Convenient to tube, buses
and London Overground. We had to leave early before breakfast buffet
available; but staff provided acceptable offering of cereal, toast,
coffee and fruit.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were superb and we liked the complementary fruit bowl on arrival. I liked the decor. Proximity to the Piccadilly line facilitating easy access to the museums was good.

Room was large for 3 people. it was very clean but a bit tired. Felt as if we could relax so had a good time and the breakfast was very good.. Don't expect luxury at this price.

Being 3 flights up with no lift was a downside , Bathroom tiles could do with being replaced or fixed as these were a bit grubby but nothing major as with some of the woodwork in the Bathroom area , Being straight across the street from a Police Station and Prison is a bit of a down but didn't cause a problem , A Bar / Restaurant would have been nice to see in the hotel.
Being across the road from Pentonville prison is 'interesting' though the actual location of the hotel is very good for facilities, transportation and the Underground.
The hotel is on a main road so there is quite a lot of traffic noise. The north London emergency services seem very fond of their sirens! I would stay again but I would pack earplugs.
There is no lift, but only four floors so not a big problem.
It was a little bit noisey when trying to sleep because of the police
station and main road outside. (But I guess thats what you would expect
for a city hotel and this will not put me off booking again) Everything
was lovely and clean apart from the kettle could have done with some
serious descaling!.
