The cleanliness of the room and the beds was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, it is a quiet neighbourhood, so you can get enough sleep to gain energy to walk thru busy streets of London and the nearness of the tubes, local pubs, bus stations and supermarkets is really great (about a 5min walk to both stations). It was a pleasant stay, we had the best time!. In general, it is a nice hostel which i would definitely love to visit again. The rooms are okay and the breakfast is just okay for the day's start. Good place to meet nice people from other parts of the world. Price is just okay (not cheap/not expensive) because the hostel is situated in a nice location close to the city center.
all reviews » That was the cheapest I could find in London online. I had apprehensions about room. But everything was fine. From Barons court or w Kennsington tube stations, its walkable distance. Bf provided.Room spacious. Reception staff though less excellent in their dealing. Feels happy and will recommend to others. Staff were friendly and pleasant. I booked a bed in 6 bed dorm. Thought I had booked a female only dorm but I booked in a mixed dorm, staff were happy to change me. Staff also had good local knowledge. Very well located and good budget price. As a single 50 yr old female I would stay there again. I lived in a 6-bed room. The room is quite big with quite a lot of space. The toilet and bathroom is quite clean as well. The hostel located at a residential area, which is a quiet and safe environment. Good value of money. The bathroom was very-very clean - I was surprised! We got twin room with separate bathroom - excellent for the amount of money we have paid! We had teapot, hairdryer, heater and TV - all good and working. The room and bathroom was neat and clean. The breakfast was basic, but sufficient. The location is also great since its fairly close to the Kengsinton Station. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Good clean modern facilities. The fact that the breakfast is till 9.30 and they would start to take everything away at about 9.15/9.20 and then they would vacuum around you while you eat, it didn`t bother us as much the first couple of days, but later on it started to be a little annoying haha but the plus part is that if you get there a bit late, you can always ask them to bring out some food for you, so it is not that big of a deal. No hot water from second floor. Internet wifi disappears from first floor. Wifi good during night but less efficent during Break fast time. We need to come down to bf lounge to access it. Even though cleaning done daily I felt toilet smell bit difficult. Bathing needs to be done standing in the tub and makes it in-conevenient. It was very busy so on occasions the showers were not that clean, but to be expected. The windows could not be closed entirely. Throughout the night the wind kept knocking the windows, making it kinda noisy to sleep. It's a budget hostel - you should understand - the hall is dirty, the kitchen is small. But anyway - among such type of hotels - this is very good. Going home. My room and that part of the hostel where my room was situated was very cold. My bed 201d was very uncomfortable. The lock on my locker did not work. No computer to use for internet. Shower very noisy next to our room. Nothing in particular. No elevator and narrow stairs - be prepared to carry your bags 3 floors :). -There was one shower that didn't get hot water, but the others did -Getting wifi in the room was difficult, but it was available in the common room. nothing. A croissant at bkfast would be good , rather than just toast and cereal BUT I accept that it is cheap and cost must be an issue for you. stairs are very dirty.Didn't find anything negative. There was'nt light in the shower room. The hotel doesn't provide toiletteries. Only towels were given. Breakfast has limited choice. Only toast and cereals. No kettle or fridge in the room. However, good for budget holidays. hotel is now under rebuilding, so it looks a little bit deterrent (reception desk, corridor). Room and hallway smelled and carpeting was dank, fortunately it was warm and window stayed open. Showers unpleasant visually so we didn't use them, only 1 key card worked but didn't matter as only there 1 night. The shared bedroom was damp and the window could not be opened!!! (In a six bedroom!), The beds were horrible, some were broken!. There were no extra pillows or towels when asked for, and the ones provided in the room were extremely thin and almost useless!. Small choice for breakfast and little place in dining room. Sure, it's a budget hotel but it could be better. No tv in the room and shared bathrooms on corridor - however it was mentioned in advance so no surprise. Rude night concierge, not good wifi. The showers weren't fantastic but it is a hostel. Looked like construction yard, they were renovating. Staff was rude. Showers were cold and weary. No hot water from second floor upwards. Internet WiFi disappears from first floor upwards. The shower/bath water was cold it wouldn't heat up. People coming into the hotel at ALL hours of the night. Didn't sleep very well, the breakfast was terrible. Not very helpful reception desk and the breakfast is really simple.... Rude staff, the room was freezing and when I checked with the front desk they told me that this is an energy saving policy(can you believe this), hot water is not available in all showers, beds are not comfortable, smelly rooms, toiletries are available for extra charge, Wi Fi is very slow and not available all the time. Key card didn't work Bed squeaked at the slightest movement Room too hot Lockers didn't close so not possible to lock them Insufficient numbers of toilets and showers, and these facilities were not very clean Was told I would have to move rooms after the first night, never had this before in any hostel, so I found alternative accommodation instead. Overall a very unsatisfactory stay :(. Hotel was like a building site. The room was very small and didn't have a TV. there was wifi and it was incluided in the booking. There was noisy until 2 in the morning. The bathroom was dirty. Lack of warm water in all shared showers. Plastic cups are considered extras. The breakfast is far from "continental" - it consists of toast with butter and fruit jam, corn flakes with cold milk. The whole place is like construction site. The double decker made us both seasick.
