Facilities in the room were excellent and it was very clean and tidy each day with towels being replaced. Food choice was also very good and plenty available. Staff were friendly and efficient. Stairs or lift and very central especially liked the proximity to the river and all other areas. The helpfulness and kindness of the Hotel staff, from personal service from the Duty Manager to the welcome and assistance from the Night Porter Peter, I think(we arrived at 1am ) to the friendly lady at Reception from Australia/New Zealand and pleasant Ding Romm staff.

No on site parking. no very friendly. the shower in the bathroom was very difficult to turn on and off and temperature was difficult to regulate. We did not like the 3.00 check in time we thought that was a bit lateand the breakfast was just "alright". booked a double room but upon arrival was given and twin room and took a while to get the correct room.The bedroom was cold which is why vfm is only graded fair had we been comfortable and warm rating would have been excellent. Food was average. room size was alittle smaller than in the pictures. Yes did not have a view onto the loch itself. Bar closed a bit early. Carvery was worst I have ever seen,poor,poor,poor.plates I would notgive to my dog ,badly marked and dirty looking.not what I would expectin a hotel of this quality.by all means stay in the hotel but do not eatin the carvery. I found the mattress on the bed rather uncomfortable. small room, lift broken on first night.
