The building was built in 1897 by a glass merchant who would use the tower to search for merchant ships coming in to the port. Today the property has been transformed into a stylish, modern hotel and is an ideal base from which to explore this historic city. Each of the 10 en suite rooms has been individually designed and decorated, whilst the tower has been converted into a spectacular contemporary suite. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. A Continental breakfast is available. The sophisticated Otterstone Bar & Grill is the perfect place to relax and unwind as is the traditionally-styled Gosford Bar, which serves real ales and fine malt whiskies. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the service we received was fantastic. We had a wonderful weekend and would deffinatley go back. Friendliness of staff and willingness to help out. Location, available parking, and the shower in the rooms.The jacuzzi that lights up. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even offered us a choice of rooms. The decor was very nice.

The towels should be tumble dried - I don't like crunchy towels!. The room we stayed in was very small and you tripped over one another - more suitable for a single occupancy than double.Shelf and hanging space in bathroom could be improved. Some plumbing problems too. I thought the room was quite small for the money but we were there during the Fringe Festival when no doubt rates go up.work in progress so will improve but not reasonable to criticise at this point. the third bed was a little bit uncomfy. en-sutie was a tad grubby and felt it let the rest of the room down. oter than that ,had a great time and will be back. Although the bath was good, shower facilities would have been an addedfeature. The towels left a lot to be desired, maybe some confort in thewash would have helped!! Some double glazing to keep the traffic noiseout would have been an advantage also.The 'double' room was two single matresses pushed together. This was not as comfortable as it could have been. Staying for only one night was o.k but if you are staying for more check this out first. Also, we had to get taxi's or two buses into and back from the city centre. I think it was a little overpriced. also a bit of a walk out of town. Quite far from downtown. The room could use more than a surface cleaning. We had a room that had some problems with the plumbing, resulting in a foul smelling bathroom. We reported the problem and was moved to another room.The hotel did not live up to the price charged for the accomadation. Noisy, impossible to sleep, windows that did not close properly and noteven curtains to limit the noise.
