Location - 15mins walk from Princes St. Cost - very reasonable for Best Western hotel. Breakfast - freshly cooked. staff were great and room was everything we wanted wished we had stayed for 2 nights. will definitly return soon. Wonderful room (301). Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location (except for busy road). It was quite a central hotel. Near most of the main points of Edinburgh.

The hotel was 20 minute walk from the royal mile, which is were we spent most of our time.breakfast was too busy in comparison to the room available. Price of bottled water £4.95!!!!. not updated their info on cost of parking at nearby ncp park cost another £2.40 a night may have parked elsewhere (£15 not £12 as stated). We are a family of five and the staff point blank refused to put two tables together to allow us to eat as a family. No safe either in room or at reception for valuables.Rooms were stuffy and too hot. breakfast expensive. Nothing really. More options for breakfast buffet maybe. i was not told that the news papers in the morning are not complimentary. i was just asked what news papers i would like meaning they they were complimentary. No, i think everything met my expectations. The noise level out on the street was terrible. The hotel needs to put in double glazing windows in rooms that are facing the main street.'Continental' breakfast was a disappointment in terms of quality - the reality did not match the description. Cooked breakfast was good although only a modest plateful rather than a buffet!. The room TV is far too small and our room being right on the street was a bit noisy at night. definately the breakfast. For the money you pay, the breakfast could have be a standard hot breakfast instead of cereal and toast. Some rooms were subject to street noise in the very early morning E.G.bin lorries reversing.
