The staff were extemely helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was really lovely and so was the food. There was a really nice atmosphere too. We would definately stay there again. Very friendly staff, very good food, clean, comfortable room, car parking at the rear of the Hotel. I have spend my time at Birmingham NEC exibition. This hotel as for me is the best choice.

Reception did give a pub as an alternative for the evening.rooms a tad small; but OK. close to the NEC. Free WiFi. Leaving with a mental note never to return.shower - water was only like warm. During the evening that I arrived the fire alarm kept going on and off for about 1 hour.One or two noisy freight trains in near vicinity during early hours. A colleague of mine had a room over the bar area and complained that the television was on till late at high volume. Myself and another colleague were staying in separate rooms not above bar and enjoyed a good sleep. A litter bit expensive for their meal. Very slow for online. food very basic and pricey for what we got. Football on in the bar all the time. Open area lounge and dining onto bar which had Sky sports channel - result all lounge users and dining guest subject to background sports commentry - not relaxing for those Not wishing to hear sport. Evening meal in the hotel restaurant was poor - not cooked properly despite it being sent back to kitchen. Breakfast was also of a poor standard. Tea cold. Baked beans - horrible taste!!!. Old fashioned TV. the staff did not want to know when there was a problem to sort out !. Bedroom was quite small, and the bathroom was cold with no seperate heating in it. Lots of noise from drains of neighbouring rooms. As listed above, with addition of no breakfast prior to leaving, although this was not booked in advance it is normally expected, a note of these restricted services would have helped with choice of hotel at time of booking. no lounge area.The train station right outside our room,and hearing the trains frequently,if coming again i would request a room at the front of the hotel. The desk in the room is a dressing table and not big enough to work on.The man at the front desk was willing to charge my mobile for me.
