It's easy to get to when entering Aberdeen, we were upgraded to a newlyrefurbished executive room for free. We saved over £120 a night bybooking on the website!. the room was very spacious and the price was fantastic. the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. we liked the freedom of choice, to dine at the hotel or travel into town, the use of facilitys. it was quiet very pacefull and the facilites was ok.

A car is essential when staying at this hotel, particularly if you intend to go into Aberdeen for the evening.bathroom facilities needing an upgrade. needs to look better on the outside as inside very nice. Breakfast was way overpriced at £13, and food looked like it had been sat for a while. Would recommend switching to serve to order policy, at least you feel like the food has been freshly cooked. Temp of the hotel room was quite cold,. premium channels didn't work. The breakfast was too expensive.The buffet breakfast had been lying out for a while and was not particularly appealing. Would have been better if it had been at least checked and freshened up a bit. In need of some re decorating in the corridors.Air conditioning was not working properly on the top floor of the hotelmaking it rather hot, but this was handled by the prompt provision ofelectric fans. A found the service at breakfast ad-hoc. Some were seated and not askedif we would like tea, coffe or toast when others were asked and servedimmediately. The tea served out of the flasks was weak and tasteless. Iheard others on another table also complain about the tea. I suggestthat residence are given their own tea or coffee so they can make theirbeaverage to their own taste.The pass key didnt work when we returned from a day of shopping and this had to be reactivated. The smoking area situated on the car park is a joke. No shelter providedfrom the wind and rain.So smokers ignored the no smoking signs at theentrance to the hotel and "lit up ".Smoking room was unavailable. The decor was a bit dated but that's not a big deal.looks like a prison from the outside!. Dining staff were very very slow and not give the air of efficiency that suited this hotel's facade.expensive for the location. Bathroom was a bit "tired". Fixed-head shower not liked.The prices in the bar were over inflated. service at dinner was dreadful, very very slow, 20 minutes to bring the wine and take the food order. Food was only warm when it finally arrived then they forgot the coffee. The food was excellent in the restaurant but a bit pricey . The bar area as an alternative was small, very noisy and not much cheaper. Smokers were allowed to congregate outside the main doors (signs prohibiting this) and no staff were prepared to move them. Not nice. Wrong side of Aberdeen for airport and many of the business areas. Hotel , breakfast and restaurant all expensive. Swimming pool on small side and spa pool was too hot one day and too cold the next. Main restaurant pricey as is breakfast if not included in rate. Bar menu limited. Three guests but only towels for two and it took hours before this was rectified.Room serivce.

By rail:
Leave Aberdeen railway station and turn left. Cross over the bridge and turn left again. Then follow the A956 towards Dundee. The hotel is situated on the roundabout at the top of the hill.

By air:
A taxi journey from Aberdeen Airport costs approximately 12.00 GBP. Follow the A96 towards Aberdeen. Turn left onto the A90 towards Dundee. Follow the dual carriageway out of town and join the A956 towards Aberdeen Harbour. The hotel is just over one kilometre away, on the left of a roundabout.
