Nice room (double) with private bathroom and balcony with garden view. Little tranquill paradise within the city. Nice staff, good breakfast, great atmosphere, well organized. All info you need while travelling the city is available. And if your lucky you'll meet nice people to share info and/or have a beer in the back yard. Turtles are funny... Good ferry connections for 1.95 tl (€ 0,80) one way tickets (with an Istanbulkart) Easy to reach from the Asian airport (Sabiha Göçen), which is used by budget airlines, with havatas or e10 bus to Kadiköy. We really felt at home here, the other guest were from all over the world and everyone was welcome here. We stayed in Hush Hostel Lounge with a small kid, 3 years old and were very happy about it. We loved Hush Lounge and enjoyed our staying. Everything is good there: great location, friendly and helpful stuff, beds, rooms, food, wi-fi, coffee...everything! Hostel has a roof space, I used to work there with my laptop. It was cool. We also meet good people there, not just stuff but people who stayed in hostel. So, Hush Hostel Lounge is hardly recommended!. The hostel is located on the Asian side of istanbul and easily accessible from the Sabiha Gokcen airport by bus service costing 8 Turk Lire p.p. We found the location to be perfect. Its about 5 minute walk to the ferry crossing to the european side of Istanbul. The hostel offers a basic breakfast, but there are any cafe's in the area. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. A good clean hostel for all city trip travelers on a budget. Stayed for 2 nights in 'Hush Hostel Lounge' and another 1 night in 'Hush Hostel Moda' thereafter. In both places, I received a very friendly welcome and found clean facilities. I can therefore not really say which place I preferred over the other. In 'The Lounge', I liked the typical hostel atmosphere of the common rooms and kitchen downstairs; but in 'Moda', the rooftop café and terrace were certainly very enjoyable too !. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot with great water pressure. Just keep in mind that this a hostel and not a luxury hotel. If you want to explore Istanbul eastern neighbourhoods or if you've just landed in Sabiha Gokçen and you need a place to spend the night, Kadikoy is what you're looking for. We chose this hostel because of its position (it's near to the bus station and the ferry port) and we found a nice place with young friendly staff and typical atmosphere. We arrived there at around 10 P.M. after a whole day travelling from Italy to Istanbul, so we have to admit that we immediately closed our curtains and ju. Eventhough quietly situated, no city-noise, the old building is rather noisy (flushing toilets, closing doors etc.). There are rather thin walls, but it tends to be quiet around 11 pm. I didn't really enjoy the breakfast here, I'm picky though. (There's a good place just down the road called Eliza café though). A very (very !) minor point, but staffs I interacted with were almost all non-locals. Not meaning that they were not helpful nor very nice people; but it kind of left me with an 'international' rather than 'purely Turkish' feel for the Hush Hostel places. Our room was next to the stairwell and I was woken up by people going down the stairs. But I'm a light sleeper, my wife didn't hear anything. The breakfast is nothing special, and the worse is that nothing changed during the 4 days we were there. For the jams small cups should be bought, as putting your jam on a flat plate is really messy. We didn´t get what we had ordered via the Booking. com. Even if it was confirmed by the letsbookhotel.com., the room was not available. We didn´t stay in the main building, which seemed to bo more comfortable and more beautiful than ours. But we were refunded for it and in the end the price was really reasonable. We came to Istanbul to visit tourist attractions, so the room where we only slept was quite good. Wifi very slow. Little old bathrooms. Some of the occupants can be very noisy at the middle of the night especially the Turkish fox but this is not the fault of the management, is the fault of this people who don't put others into consideration. Might be feeling a bit crowded, especially since the dorm rooms have very little personal space. Price could be somewhat cheaper. At least, they should have bathroom and shower in each floor. Sound isolation, but it's ok for hostel. only hot drinks beverages with breakfast (no juice/water offered). Our room was at the 5th floor so it was hard for us to go up and down. The common bathroom was not on our floor unfortunately. Would be nice to have a shower to fit northern Europe size travelers. Sound proofing (other rooms) could be better. The breakfast was rather disappointing and the small room (cheapest double) was actually very very small. You hear noise in the hall and slam the doors in the night(. No elevator. The hill coming up to the hostel. Very slow wireless... The fact that each room should have come with a cat...just kidding :). The dormitory is on the top floor and it is tiresome to climb up the stairs. During breakfast disturbed dirty cats. Internet not available in all rooms. I stayed just 1 week. reception when arrived. Wifi in the hostel works not so well. The doors are so thin that you hear everthing. no negative. Maybe it's a bit expensive for a hostel, since we paid 34 euros for a double room and the bathroom was in common: we found other accomodations during our trip that offered the same service even for ten euros less. There's no air conditioning, so if you're going to Istanbul in the summer, perhaps you should look for a different accomodation. The only really negative point was the total lack of social activities. I was unlucky to have really weird and noisy people in my room but this is unpoliteness, it can't be management's fault. We can hear everything from other rooms and bathrooms. Rooftop Terrace was closed... Not very friendly staff depending on who where there, they don't take euros despite we reserved in euros... Their cleaning staff is disrespectful and very mean. We made pass the check out time, because we overslept with my partner. One of the maids came to our door, said we have to leave now. We weren't ready, but we were packing our stuff up, and asking just for 10 minutes of waiting. She "couldn't" wait 10 more minutes, and forced us to open our rooms door. This rudeness is not acceptable, as I am a customer, not someone to be threatened.
