This place is great- the air con was on for us when we arrived, the room had big windows looking out to the water. Staff had welcome drinks on arrival. If you've come to Phi Phi Island for a getaway, you might like to know that it's not the relaxing island you thought.. there is loud music that blares across the water until 4am (can be heard in the room) So we were surprised, amused, felt a little old, but enjoyed it for what it was. If you WANT to be a part of the party scene then it's a great.
all reviews » For Phi Phi this is a nice place without spending $200 USD a night. Its a pretty view of Phi Phi Don and was kinda nice hiking out each evening and morning. Also they take you over after being greeted at the pier in a little boat which saves the wheelbarrow taxi (yes there are no cars or scooters.. Enjoy!) and return you to the pier free of charge. Overall its modern for Phi Phi and my gf and I really liked it. ***Not for anyone with kids or elderly/ disabled. Newly renovated and very clean rooms. The location was good. A short walk (5-10 min) from the beach and the city, so you were close to everything, but it was far enough away to make it quiet. The view from the balconies was fantastic. There were ear plugs and a flashlight in the room. far from noisy beach, however the music was still heard, but ear plugs provided; everyday room service - new towels, bottled water; good A/C, working TV and WiFi, hot water, clean, nice balcony with sea view. Incredible views ! Far from town centre and need to climb up the hill, but for that you have the views !. Amazing views and really nice new rooms with a lot of privacy. The place during the day is very nice, you can hear the sea and birds, etc. Houses are simple, but it's Phi Phi Island, and it's all build like with 'short term purpose'. The prices are also reasonable for the fact that you have air conditioning, fridge and warm water that doesn't taste salty. I must stress that it was very good service of luggage transportation ferry/hotel provided by the company, which we did not expect. You shall not be frightened by previous comments - this is improved alr. Room was clean, stuff was friendly, but with not so good English. Music from the beatch disturb just little bit. Hotel is on the hill, so you are on the safety side in case of tsunami. The bungalows are of moderate size, but modern and stylish. There is an excellent view from the bungalow over the bay. Nice clean cabins. The woman at the desk was very kind but had problems speaking English. Communication was difficult. I have enjoyed Mama's beach. No cars and traffic which was bliss. The view was nice... The view. Nothing. If you have mobility issues you might want to check if a path has been made yet going down to the town, currently a bit tricky on the rocks. Water was getting a bit brown near the end (prob normal here)... and thats it for us but for anyone not younger and/or fit: It is a bit noisy at night for music (common in Phi Phi) and a bit of a hike which we enjoyed each day. not much space for belongings, but we didn't consider it as a problem; quite long way to the main area, however nice walk with street lights (if not enough, flash light provided in room). It's a bit of a trek up from the town - 20 minutes down a hill mostly "off road". The music comes across from the beach and might as well be in the room next door it's so loud... goes till 3/4am every day. no hairdryer. The pathway is quite dark (and long) at night and therefore easy to lose your footing... bring a flashlight!. The way to the hotel is steep and slippery... nothing. * Very loud music from beach discos across the bay * Shared beach. The approach and the long distance up hill, they must find a easier way to reach the hotel. Mess around bungalows, rubbish on grass and ground, nothing else to complain about it's party paradise with great opportunity scuba dive, facts it was loudy is not reasonable, as that is what you going to do to in this island. Noise from the beach party. Main problem is the Island itself and the discos on the beach. This is not a sustained Island and all the comments concerning loud parties (even though they are far) are true. Until 2-3 am I guess there is loud music and you can hear at least the beats. This is nothing that the hotel owner can do about unless you want acoustic barriers to be put where is now the sea view:) What you can do is to put some tv on, we mostly enjoyed fashion tv with it's good music. hotel is located on the hill, so you get fitness every day. In case you have little baby, do not take it. We selected Phi Phi Sea Sky Resort due to its distance from the party beach, so we accepted the 15 min. walk (not very comfortable) to the town. But the distance did not inhibit the sound level from the party going on to 2-3 o'clock in the morning. We left after 3 days: had booked for 10): It was difficult to sleep for the party noise. However, young people might like it. Very loud because of the party area in the bay. You have to walk a tiny path to get to the village ca. 10 min. staff spoke hardly any english which made the comunication very difficult...there are lots of bars at the beach and themusic was sooo loud until 3 am we could hardly sleep...!!!! it was VERY annoying for being in such a beautiful surounding... Bit of a hike to get to it through a forest with no real path made out for the hotel. No lights on the trail on some nights when walking home. Horrible location. You have to walk through a dumpster with a HORRIBLE smell to get to the beach and shops. There is no pathway to get to the cabins. You have to walk through rocks and very dangerous terrain. We could not believe it. Parties at the beach last till wee hours at night so getting shut eye is quite a challenge. There was 1 roll of toilet paper in the appt...not enough. Very disappointing and so happy to have moved on to Arayaburi Resort on Phi Phi 2 nights later. What a relief!. The resort is not located on the map and no sign posts. It took us about 4 hours to find the place. Inaccessible for the unfit and old. Loud music throughout the night. It is a rocky climb to get to the resort. I will never stay there again!!!!!. It's far away from everything, and there is a construction site close by making a lot of noise in the daytime! The room is poorly constructed, and feels like a sauna when the sun is up!. Is quite far from everything, it's very expensive and the rooms are not so nice. They have simple bungalow that you can probably find somewhere else on the island for half of the price or less. Omg! I have never seen anywhere like this before let alone considered staying there!!! You may want to consider sleeping on the beach as an upgrade. Priced at over £60 per night this place is rip off of the century. Disgusting horrible place that I wouldn't feel happy leaving my dog in.
