Loved the location and the outdoors facilities: massages, reception (with newspapers and magazines) the beds at the sea, the lovely garden. Breakfast was excellent as well: proper bread (real croissants!!), well cooked eggs, a good choice between muesli etc and fresh orange/mandarin juice. After 3 weeks of drinking sugar water with a colour for orange juice, this was a welcome treat (my boyfriend even asked: what is this? ;-) ) The rooms are not too big, but there is no need for them to be bigg.
all reviews » Firstly the staff were amazing. Tom and Ning couldn't have been more friendlier and helpful. They made everything easy for you. We thought the location was perfect. Excellent views, close to pier. Yes it was a little walk from town but we quite enjoyed the walk home. Is an easy walk home along beach in the serenity. Nice to be close to action but far enough away it doesn't disturb you. Great little local bar close it it to that was fantastic. People complained about the flies at breakfast. Yes . This place is far enough from the pier that you have great water to swim in but less than 10 minutes walk to the pier for catching tours. Their private beach area is very comfortable! I booked my hotel wrong due to the Monday-Sunday calendar style on letsbookhotel.com but they refunded me for the incorrect night and were very helpful accommodating me for the night I hadn't booked originally. The staff recommended a great sunset ferry tour of Phi Phi Leh which was great. The food at the hotel re. Stuff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect; it was not in the center but we enjoyed phi phi soo much. The rooms were well decorated and the details in the bathroom were perfect. Breakfast was high above our expectations. I would exactly stay here again if I have a chance to go to phiphi again. Location was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, the staff was kind. The hotel provided free internet and nice breakfast. I can not say it is a luxury hotel, and has everything in very well condition, but if you are looking for a silent location a bit away from the bars, and swim in the clean side of Phiphi, it will be a good option. Nothing, loved every minute of it!. They weren't flexible for the checkin hour, we were there at 11:00 o'clock we had to wait till 13:00. The price! Although a great hotel it was one of the dearest on the island so we couldnt stay long. Also when leaving we had arranged for our bags to be brought to the pier but they were late and the ferry would not wait so we had to wait 3 hour until the next one and there was a charge to change the ferry ticket but we ensured the hotel paid this as was not our fault which they did without argument. Old and stink towels. It's time to replace them. No glasses to drink water in the room & when I asked for it the Thai staff make me run to Bar & then Bar to Restaurant..It seems french guy running the Mama Beach is only one Customer oriented..others need to learn. Luggage transfer staff left us waiting at pier, however front desk staff apologised by offering us a free drink!. Many boats stay close to the beach, although not entering the private beach but still you can smell the gasoline. After 16:00 the beach is shaded by the cliff (which is beautiful...), so no sun on the beach afternoon. Flies all over the breakfast food that wasn't covered. Wifi wouldn't work. The sea outside the hotel (and probably in the whole Tonsai Bay) was very dirty - floating rubbish, dead fish & on the surface a layer of oil from all the boats. Not refreshing at all, I only went in once. Great shame there was no swimming pool as an alternative. Only bad thing was that the wifi did not work at times and was slow. Far from the pier though it is in Tongsai, about 15 minutes walk. When it is raining, the long distance is exhausting. And the hotel gets black out almost everyday... Nothing at all. -but toilet was leaking water which means the bathroom floor was mostly wet. bar is over priced, western restaurant is not up to the standard. We thought that this accommodation was overpriced for what it was as the rooms were reasonably small. The receptionist was also unpleasant to the thai staff and her manner was abrupt towards us. Although we didnt have an unpleasant stay here we would not stay here again. No pool but plenty of sea !. In the afternoon it is imposible to swim in front of the hotel because of the low tide. Very poor breakfast. expensive in compare to other hotels in Thi land. Minor point but the safety deposit box was a little too small and wouldn't hold a small laptop or indeed an iPad. Reception does offer to store items instead, however. May be it's overpriced sometimes, but I would recomend it. Took a long time to get our room ready, showers were Eco friendly but basically outside enclosures. In the evenings the Mosquitos are a menace - The Hotel does spray your room, however some survive... Breakfast is left out in the open for flies to crawl over. (Especially sausages) Have the fried rice or eggs for breakfast. The island is very crowded with tourists. The bathroom doesn't have glasses in outside window, only curtain, but it is very small disadvantage. Location not to far to the pier, but a bit away from most restaurants. The beach in front of the hotel almost disapears after lunch...the low tide takes all the water and just leaves mud and rocks. The bath room is can view by others, even though there is curtain to cover up still can view from the side. The rain shower is not proper functioning. The location quite far from the jetty and market area. It will be good if they provide bike rental service. Boat trip to get to and from the island. It was a bit disorganised and all the luggage was piled in a heap so if your case was at the bottom you had a long wait. room not very sound proof. Safe in the room can not be opened. far from the pier but the related services is good, like delivery of luggages from and back to the pier. Beach in front of the hotel is rocky, but walking to the other beach takes only 10 minutes. expensive. 房间里面的设施略微简陋，感觉价格有点偏贵。只不过在资源稀少的PP岛，也值这个价钱。. location is not near the central. 房间隔音不太好. Very noicey aircon, no hot water. Just hot water supply was not good, only warm water was coming to the shower. If you like to take hot showers, it will be problem for you.
