We found previous reviews hilarious when we got here: *People complaining you had to go uphill to the bungalow-guess what, if everyone wants a sea view, some have to go uphill! *Complaining the pool was dirty-it's surrounded by trees, buds and leaves fall from trees. Quiet, close to the beautiful and peaceful Long Beach (you can walk there or take a taxi boat for 100 BHT if you're lazy). The bungalows are spacious and clean. We were right next to the pool, which is not too far from the reception area (close enough to still have free wifi in the room, which is not usually the case). Next time, when we go to Phuket, we directly . Beautifull bungalows in the mountains at the beach with a great view. Bungalows are clean and have a greate balkony with a great view over the beach. I think one of the best bungalows of Phi Phi Don. We paid 50 euro a night. Good price. The bungalows are about 15 minutes walk from town. That's perfect because you don't hear any noise from the bars. Long beach, the best beach of Phi Phi is about 10 minutes walk from the bungalows. My impression was that the "village" at Phi Phi is more a hustle and bustle party place. So it's good to be approx a 15mins walk far away. Have to warn that there is quite a climb to the uphill rooms, but it can likely be problem only for older people or little kids (staff help with the luggage - no worries). The neon decorations on the front desk during the evening make this hotel look much worse ( its mora an advice for the hotel managment). and the beach in front of the hotel is not very nice, but other beaches are SO close that it is not even wrth mentioning. Notwithstanding low season, Phi Phi was busier than one would have liked. Lots of people, boats and more litter than there should be. Wifi only accessible at reception and restaurant. They didn't change the towels for 3 days... But once we asked them, they came immediately with fresh towels. No hot water, hard uncomfortable bed. The rooms were outdated. Not the room you expect for that price however the view was worth a million dollars. Outside the hotel there was quite a lot of litter, but thats not the hotels fault. Low quality wifi. The pool was on maintenance. It is quite an exercise to get to the room as it is located on a hill. Elderly or people on a bad shape should avoid this hotel. I did not know about the last boat being from Phuket to phi phi being 14.30 so lost a night, found this part disappointing and hotel not prepared to change dates!! However such a peaceful location choose to pay for an extra night!!!. It has one of the worst staff I have ever see. The lady at the front desk even tried to charge me a boat service the hotel gives for free. Some of the Stuffs at reception are very rude and there are a lot of lizards in the room. climbing the hills to our room in the heat very difficult. One member of staff (female) was very rude. Some villas may far from lobby, you may need to walk uphill for 10 mins to reach. Breakfast buffet a little lackluster. - The beach, you can better walk to long beach - the swimming pool was closed! we don`t know why because girls at the reception speak very poor English and we couldn`t understand them. And because the beach here is not really good for swimming we just had to walk every time to other beaches. With a better beach and an open swimming pool this hotel would have a chance to be a nice place to stay, now it was a quite disappointing. The place was a bit worned out, old and too much used according to price. The pool area actually felt quite sad because we so obvioussly could see that the best days were over. The front door was not tight and the balcony door was almost impossible to lock. There was not hot water. We reported this every day, but IT was only fixed once enough for one shower. The rest of the 4 days we stayed it remained cold. They should rename this hotel as "Tree view Resort" instead of "Bay view resort". Absolutely has no bay view from room 417, DO NOT take it! Furnitures are old, air con is badly maintained, it makes noise when it works. Since you need to climb a little bit to your room, it may not very good for aged people. It's overpriced. Br2250 per night is for better quality and service. Many of the rooms are ageing with minor damage to fixtures and fittings. Pot luck if you get a decent view or not. The staff is little bit rude Not very clean And too noise. The way to the room is very steep. To get hot water we were told to turn on the air conditioner on 18 degrees for 15 minuets... It didn't work. Left after one night. A little expensive, breakfast wasn´t the best. Ants in a room, telephone was not working, some problems with hot water in a room. The pool, not really clean. Nobody at the pool bar, we were always looking for the waiter. Staff could be more friendly. The bedroom was Ok but the bathroom not really attractive.
