This was our first stop in Thailand and I have endless good things to say about ella. First, their staff is amazing and made everything so easy - picked us up from the airport at midnight and had delicious mango juice ready for us once we arrived at the hotel, in addition to providing ample suggestions for things to do/see/eat. Patong in April is hot and our room was an oasis with ice cold ac, a beautiful balcony and comfy bed (also, the shower is spectacular). So close to the beach and bars an.
all reviews » I was very surprised by our stay at ELLAbed. This small hotel was beautiful. It's situated right in the heart of patong but you wouldn't realise it inside the room. The rooms are architecturally designed and I was blown away by the size of the bedroom and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and they had invested money into good bedding and nice sheets. We enjoyed breakfast each morning in the restaurant which was English style food. The resturant is downstairs sand turns into a wine bar/ cocktail. Stayed there for 3 nights and was extremely pleased. Highlights are: +Perfect location; litterally 50 steps away from the beach, and another 100 steps from the famous Bangla road. +New hotel, cool rooms. Everything from the bed to the "Ella" branded soap dispensers in the bathroom are new and classy. I really liked the industrial minimalist design in the rooms. +The "lobby" feels more like a cafe/bar, with just a small desk with a pc and a phone for reception, and a large bar and kitchen. The ". Ella is an excellently designed, stylish boutique hotel! It's small enough so you can get to know the staff really well, and located a stone's throw away from Patong Beach (so you can go direct from the hotel to the sea, ignoring all the touts) and Bangla Street. Yet it is on a quiet dead-end street, which offers a welcome respite from Patong. It could not have been a better choice for this trip! And the staff was really sweet!. -Credit to the awesome staffs, Nan and Pui. Very friendly, initiative, passion and more. -Breakfast is served and very wonderful Especially full breakfast and strawberry yogurt. -A great location.just less than 5mins walk to the beach side.Within 10mins walk to Bangla Road -There is also a mobile hawkers stall nearby which own by a young couple selling noodle soup with pork.The food just so lovely. -Everything was wonderful. Room great ,b ut I found that the bed cover was beautifull ,but too warm to sleep under ,if there was a sheet or lighter blanket if one found it to warm ,for being open 2 months they have done a great job,i like it and would stay there ,but stairs im not sure about ,I would give it 10 out of 10 ,but for the stairs ,yuck///////////. The place was awesome, The bathroom's are like a spa, The food was prepared by a chef, The location saves big on taxis because of the location.The best part was the service and staff.I Have travelled all over se Asia and never had a place take such good care of of me.I Will be voing back to Ella for sure.. When you see the style of the hotel you love it ,it is perfect and the people the working very friendly,when you not sleeping in this hotel you can sit relax and eat of drink something. The staffs are extremely friendly and willing to provide assistance whenever we need it. It's a minute walk to Patong beach, great for those who want to head out to the beach. Room is comfortable and clean. Really good, rooms were perfect, 2mins from the beach, great music in the bar downstairs while you relax as well as the staff (including the owner) being vey very helpful and always up for a chat. Great staff. The lady in reception let us do a late check out as there were no other bookings for our room. The location is really good. Lovely people and great location, beautiful design!! Love this hotel. Everything. The food was excellent !. Staff Location Breakfast. Everything. Everything. I was lucky that I have GHDs which have a very long cable to enable me to plug them in and still do my hair in the mirror but I wasn't able to with the hair dryer which can be a little difficult when getting ready for a night out. The main host was a little difficult to contact sometimes and the other staff didn't speak much English. Not much to complain about. But here are a few pointers: -The room needs a small table to put luggage on. -The hotel has no staff at late in the night, which wasn't a problem, but they arrive a bit late than usual in the morning as well, about 8:00, so be warned if you get up early. -I couldn't use my Credit card at the time I checked in, I didn't know this before coming, so I had to use the atm to pay in cash. -air conditioning can be slight improve. Stairs were too steep,no hand rail,need stairs to have a rubber survice on stair steps,and a hand rail if one was to fall you could grab hand rail and if one fell you wouldnt get hert so much if stairs had a covering ,last day there I was woken at 6 or 7 am to the sound of drilling holes in walls or floor in up stairs rooms ,people smoking from there rooms, over top of tables in resterant,while eating a guy was droping his cig ash in my food , but the stairs were awfull,. Nothing,only you must found it ,it is inside on of the streets of patong. The stairs are pretty steep and it will be good if there's proper handrail to hold on to it. No elevator. The breakfast is "a la carte" and it takes some time to get ready. Although this is understandable as the hotel is small. Nothing. Bath & toilet has no separator from main room.. Nothing. -I think there should be a telephone in the room. -I think their should be room service as well. -staff was extremely helpful and the food was excellent,I will definitely stay at Elle bed again. -I did have to ask for my room to be cleaned twice,even although I had my make my room up tag on the door.
