Not the first time we have stayed at BYD Lofts and most definitely will not be the last. Rooms spacious, modern, clean and airy whilst at the same time, cannot hear a single noise from outside. Great sized balconies and all fixtures/fittings you would expect from a serviced apartment-type hotel experience. Breakfast very good as not a buffet, cooked to order and staff very welcoming. Hire airport pick-up and laptop provided with Internet access for the route back to hotel - handy for catching up on emails and not having to load up your own laptop. Location 10 minute walk from the busy Jung Ceylon/Bangla Road area but has everything around it including wine Collec. BYD Lofts is in an ideal location towards the Northern, quieter end of Patong Beach. You can easily walk from the apartment to find great restaurants, shopping and night-life. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beach although the apartments themselves are in a nice, quiet area. The staff were very friendly and all spoke good English. The apartment was extremely clean with all required comforts. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and we'll definitely be back again ourselves at so. Apartment was big and spacious with a huge balcony. Very modern inside. Pool was small but nice, restaurant and bar downstairs was very nice and popular. Whole place has a very boutique feel. Set far enough away from the main centres and Bangla Road to be peaceful but can easily walk less than 10 minutes to get there or jump in a cheap taxi if you want to go and party. Perfect location to be close to the beach and centre activities.Rooms are stylish & modern and really comfortable.The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful! Fantastic, spacious and newly re-furbed apartments in the North end of Patong. Really can't fault the rooms at all - they were perfect and excellent value for money - one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast was tastey with more than enough variation. The Wine Shop on the ground floor has a wide selection and reasonable prices. The hotel is also only a 5 min walk from the beach. If you want to stay in Patong, it's a good choice. Nothing; the whole 'experience' keeps on getting as close to perfection as you could wish for. Liked it all. One suggestion, white blinds and white curtains in the suites allows for sunlight to come in very early - might be worth considering blackout backings to the curtains. Only minor points but the buffet breakfast had limited selection and was sometimes better than others. Also, a washing machine and tumble dryer would have been handy. As there are no laundry services in the apartments we had to use a public laundry. Price compare to most places in Patong was more but you do get what you pay for. Taxis quite often didn't know the hotel but we got what seemed like a tour of Patong one night for about 200 Baht because of it - TIP: Give them the address of the larger hotel next door. Food in restaurant was average but perfectly decent and fairly priced. Nil. I loved everything. Sometimes there was a little miscommunication with the staff due to their poor English or mispronunciation. But I believe this is being looked into and English lessons will be provided. Intermittent internet problems. Electricity trip a few times while we are there. There isn't a view from the hotel but I didn't see a decent hotel in Patong that had one.
