  I was looking for a hotel close to the airport, since we would arrive from the South of Thailand late in the afternoon and would fly out first thing the next morning. I found a few, buy picked Lilac Relax-Residence because of the good reviews and their shuttle service. I was not disappointed. I have stayed in many hotels in the Lar Krabang area, some good and some not vey good, but my stay at this hotel was excellent although I only spent about 14 hours. The restaurant on the 7th floor was quite good with a variety of food, the bedroom was very good , with a comfortable bed . It was very convenient for the airport and they had an efficient and free transfer van. The rooms were clean and comfortable and worked well for us with an extra bed and an interconnecting door. The children enjoyed the pool, free sauna and gym, although the pool is quite small.

The decor of the hotel is lovely, and considering the room was facing the main road, I did not hear any traffic noise, there was a dvd player that can play uk dvd's too.. Location is only a short ride from the airport in an a/c minibus (included in the trariff) and we were met by friendly staff at the arrivals area on time.   We stayed there 1 night landing in Bangkok after midnight and leaving in the morning for siem reap. They have a free shuttle but our flight was delayed. They were not waiting for us but came with in 15-20 minutes after we called at close to 2am. The room was Spartan but fine. Clean, quiet and the air conditioning worked well. We had to leave early... what people say » and they had a very basic but ok breakfast. The free shuttle back to the airport was perfect. This is an excellent place for a quick stay when flying - - The hotel offers exactly what it advertises. My given opinion is based on this fact. Their transport to and fro the airport is punctual. Therefore, there's no need to worry that your not on time to reach your plane. The small village itself offers for foreigners enough to have a walk around for a whole weekend as long as you are interested in their culture and daily life. The local food is pretty good. The staff is friendly and helpful.

  Very close to the airport. Excellent price. Basic room (for $22) - but clean. Staff was nice. I tried to get an upgrade, but they nicely said no - I can handle that as they were firm but nice. Some websites include a free upgrade for their hotel - so I recommend you looking for that. There were no American-style restaurants within walking distance... what people say » . Pad Thai for $1.00 and my wife got a vegetable dish (no noodles - This hotel is strictly for those in transit who probably don't plan to go into Bangkok. It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel, but it is what it needs to be perfectly - an inexpensive place to kill some time near the airport. I was picked up at airport at 5 am and dropped back off at 11 pm. So I was there for a long day. The room was simple yet very comfortable. It was quiet. The restaurant is decent enough with a large selection.   A taxi from the airport costs around 400 baht (£9 approx in 2013). However, we rang the hotel and they picked us up. They added a charge of 150 baht for this and when we left they took us back to the airport too. The rooms are nice and clean with a queen size bed!   Food was good, and I had the best massage I think I have ever had! Moreto the point, it was very convenient to airport and the transport wasefficient and on time. - The room was huge! It was quiet and very comfortable.I thought the shuttle bus to the airport was excellent.
