Pimalai is truly a little slice of heaven. Stunning grounds, delicious food, gorgeous spacious rooms on the most beautiful stretch of the island. All this being said the best thing about the resort are all of the amazing people working there. Every person we came into contact with was so pleasant and cheerful. This resort pays great attention to details... especially the small details. I hope I am lucky enough to return to this haven of peace someday, as this is truly a unique and perfect spot .
all reviews » We stayed 2 night in Pimalai at the end of 4 weeks honeymoon trip. the hotel is located right on the beach spreading further towards the hill. the beach is quite nice but depend on the tide state. we really liked the room which was really comfortable, the breakfast (they have macaroons.. :), the shed in front of the beach. The service is nice, both pools are incredible. They have nice facilities for free at the beach. "why not" bar is great. The staff were extremely motivated and enthusiatically helpful. We were well taken off. Tks ! The resort and spa surroundings were simply amazing and service excellently rendered. The transportation between the Krabi airport and resort was efficient, luxurious and well planned. We were happy to have discounts for the spa services during this low season!. It was the best place we ever stayed at!! I've never seen such friendly staff who made us feel welcome at all times! Very clean rooms. The most comfortable beds. Amazing pools. A couple of naughty monkeys came into the room and ran off with some food which made us a little nervous. The only downside is the place is just huge - you need to have the hotel car pick you up even for a meal (though it takes just a few minutes to get he vehicle). Nothing. The only negative aspect would be the price of drinks, however, they were probably consistent with many resorts around the world. pre-arrival information was not so hot (ignored an email from me, and weren't expecting us at dock arrival) Being charged additional 400 Baht to have breakfast in hillside restaurant vs beach restaurant - seemed very unnecessary. The food is below average. Pimalai sends you a letter a day before you check out with check out details. I think this comes across as very rude especially in an expensive property like this one. It is expensive.... but the place is wonderful!. Drinks too expensive. the breakfast buffet could be a bit better, there has been no variation in food for two weeks and for vegetarians there is little choice. The same goes for the other restaurants. Some of the staff can be a bit rude, especially the club car drivers. The TVs are so outdated and they should install the Apple TV system as most of the 5 star hotels in Thailand!. Too far from the airport Not much to do at night No much water sport activities. The coffee maker The transport that never comes We booked via email. Price lists were not fully transparently indicating final price, plaige with some stones under water. Lack of restaurants and food options. A lot of noise in the morning either people cutting grass with heavy machinery or wanting to clean the room at 9am. organization difficulty in being understood(staff doesn t speak english) cleanliness in public spaces we asked to speak with someone responsible because of some problems and during 8 d nobody came. Sometimes long wait for buggies. Location is far away from the airport. Nothing. nature lizards, snakes, & monkeys because it is located in the national park.

The Spa aims at bringing back guest to nature; built in the shape of a village style, the pretty small straw roofed Salas blend totally with the natural beauty of the jungle. Each has been designed with nature at heart, and fashioned with stones, native wood, bamboo, iron, ropes and ceramics.

Please be informed of the following extra persons fee (there is a sofa bed in the room already and no extra bed is provided). The below fees include breakfast and the round-trip transfer: - One child under 2 years is charged THB 1000 per night - One child aged 3-12 years is charged THB 2000 per night - One older child or adult is charged THB 3000 per night Please note that small children must be closely supervised as the infinity pool is unfenced in either the Hillside and the Beach villas. None of the bedrooms in the Hillside or Beach Villas are inter-connected. Please note that reservations made from 1 May 2014 onwards are inclusive of complimentary round-trip transfer from Krabi Airport to the resort. Guests are required to provide travel details at the time of booking. The hotel highly recommends guests to arrange for the flights to arrive at Krabi Airport in the morning or early afternoon. It takes approximately 2 hours to arrive at the resort with a car follow by the resort's boat, all of which are exclusively for guests. This service is applicable only on the guests' check-in and check-out dates only. Mainland jetty to Pimalai- 09:00, 11:00, 12:45, 14:45, 16:15 and 17:30 hrs Pimalai to mainland jetty- 06:30, 08:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00 hrs Please note that the availability and timeliness of the boat service is subject to the weather/ sea conditions. In case of adverse weather/ sea conditions, the resort will arrange for guests to be transferred to the resort by public ferries and additional ground transportation. The transfer may then take 30 minutes longer. Please be informed that due to safety reasons, the boat shuttle service is not available between 18:00-06:00 hrs. After 18.00 hrs the transfer can be done using public ferries. These ferries normally stop regular service at 22:00 hrs. For a later arrival, please kindly contact the resort directly. Departing from the resort, the same arrival route is used. However, the resort allocates extra travelling time to ensure that guests arrive at the airport on time. The property also offers a chargeable transfer service (via a minivan and boat) between mainland Krabi and the resort. Please kindly contact the resort directly for the cost of transportation.

Travelling information

Currently, flight connections to Krabi International Airport are made through Suvarnabhumi International airport and, from time to time, from the older Don Muang airport, both situated in Bangkok. Depending on the season, Thai Airways operates 3 to 5 daily flights (1hr 20min). Other no-frills airlines have also started daily flights from Bangkok. At Krabi International Airport our representative will be pleased to greet you and arrange for your further transportation to the resort. The resort can also be reached by flying to Trang airport where Thai Airways flies daily from Bangkok. Transportation by road from Krabi, Phuket or Trang airports can be arranged by the resort; it consists of a 50 minutes drive from Krabi Airport, 3hr from Phuket Airport and 1hr 30min from Trang Airport. In each case this takes you to Baan Huahin pier where, adjacent to the public pier, the resort maintains a private jetty and convenience station. Transportation from Baan Huahin to Pimalai Resort depends on the season; comprehensive details are outlined below.
