  We were extremely impressed by the hospitality of the staff. They are very kind, they tried their best to make our stay at their resort the best we have encountered. The most remarkable thing was the attention to details ( fresh fruit and flowers every morning). Also they provided us with free breakfast which was delicious.   We stayed at Cousin Resort initially for 2 nights, but then, having found the Krabi area a bit disappointing, drove over 120km back just to spend one more night there, before setting off for Phuket. The resort is superb, very cheap for its standard. Great English-speaking staff, which we found absolutely crucial in Thailand.   We stayed for 3nights and were upgraded to a pool access room. Unprompted, the hotel presented me with a birthday cake-a lovely surprise, thank you.   Spent five days here. Requested ground floor room which they provided. Large room with good size bathroom and small garden out back. Bed was hard. They put a comforter over the mattress which made a bit of difference. Pool is great. This property is split into three areas. We were in the tower part with the big pool away from the beach. Eggs etc etc. recommended for families also. - The room and pool was fantastic, the staff especially at the restaurant were very nice. Khao Lak is a great place to visit, but you do require transport such as a scooter if you wish to get around. Taxi are on,ly 150b to the main area of town but may be more at night. If you wish to chill by the pool or beach and eat in the restaurants in the surrounding area which there is a lot to choose from transport is not a problem.
