Absolutely gorgeous hotel - like a peaceful oasis in the middle of crazy Haad Rin! Such good value for money considering what you get. We had a private standard bungalow which was of a very high standard. Very clean and modern with private balcony and lovely views. 2 pools and a private beach. Resort is very clean and well looked after. Good location even though you have to walk through a muddy path to get there. Breakfast was lovely as well. all reviews » Lovely location away from the hustle and bustle of Haad Rin. Shuttle service was available but it was no more than a 10 minute walk to the centre. Only a handful of resorts on the small bay meant the beach was quiet and chilled. No passing traffic so it was quiet all the time. Good buffet breakfast. Tokay geckos calling at night were brilliant. The resort on a whole was lovely. Our bungalow was up a few steps but this meant privacy and peace. I would definitely return to here. We stayed here for a total of 10 nights, and it felt like home for the entire time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They decorated our bed for our honeymoon when we arrived. There is a private beach, and delicious reasonably priced restaurant food. The amount you pay for your stay, for what you get in return, is the most value for money you will find on the entire island. I cannot wait for our next trip back!!. On our honey moon and the hotel really delivered. The rooms were great/clean/modern - with a Thai twist in the bathroom. Location of the hotel is brilliant. This place is in the middle of nature. If you do not like seeing bugs and other natural critters, this is not the place for you. The beach was a bit average. Lovely white sand but very shallow waters, with a lot of seaweed. We tried to watch several movies with the room DVD player but only rarely we were able to watch the whole thing. appearantely most of the CDs in the resort libary are scratched. Its quite far down a dirt track road so access isnt great, but they have a taxi service. some stairs to get to room. walk to center is not for unable people. You can't swim in the sea and the water in not deep enough very expensive taxi transfer to the next hotel. To get to the haadrin village you have to go up and down few hills, it is a bit exhausting in the begining, before you get used to it. And there are a lot of wild features you have to be brave about: insects, animals. My friend steped on the sea-urchin while she was swimming, it was awful. A lot of bugs and centipedes that we found in our bungalow, had to fight with them using chemicals and bare hands )))). mosqitoes. Pool Too much trees around the beach. The beach is not for swimming. Restoration work (though it did not effect our stay) Very few rooms with a sea view (85% with tree top/garden view). Condition of the rooms; airconditioning needed some time to cool the room; signs said buy 1, get 1 free massage on ANY massage in their Spa but then it appeared there were a lot of exceptions on that: an Aloe Vera had to be fully paid- there was no interest in doing business at all despite the fact their personnel was sitting there doing nothing. Huge dead Cockroach in bathroom window!. Way too expensive considering the standard bungalows. Bathroom roof didnt close properly so it was flooded by rain after. Bathroom door not able to close. Standard bungalows need renovations. overpriced for room type room wasnt cleaned once in 4 days sun loungers on the beach very uncomfortable. Strange location. Hotel facilities are old and are not value for money. Many moscitos and bugs compare to other places we've been to. Staff is very unfriendly and unpolite.
