My husband and I spent 4 nights at Sala Samui on the last leg of our honeymoon to Thailand and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is super friendly and helpful and we loved the overall layout of the resort. We stayed in one of the garden pool villas and it was perfect for the two of us. Although our room was situated toward the front of the resort and near other taller buildings, our pool and bathroom area was still made very private so we didn't feel uncomfortable about the open bathroom la.
all reviews » I had stayed at another hotel for 5 nights and this was my treat before I returned back home. Well , what can I say? I got a good deal, considering I booked it last minute & I was upgraded to a better room, no questions asked! It was exactly what I needed as I had issues with the other resort, so a great way to end a beautiful stay in Koh Samui. The resort is very well maintained and looks like new. When I checked in, I was greeted by the General Manager (gm) Dick, who tries to meet most gu. we visit Sala Samui for honeymoon and we love it! our room was garden pool villa and it was wonderful! as it was honeymoon, they sent champange and chocolate for free common pools were really good and clean there was happy hour 2 times in a day and you can buy a drink (great cocktails) around 7-10$ and get 1 free one more thing, you can do kayaking for free. This is a beautiful resort, the staff are very friendly and attentive, the food is varied and tasty, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. There are plenty of other restaurants along the beach as well as lots of massage stalls. It is also only a short taxi ride away from Chaweng where all of the bars, shops and clubs etc are. Great resort hotel, we were upgraded to a pool villa suite, you can't ask for more good food, the beach and the pool is also great. we will be back for sure. the GM was very friendly and helpful . Everything was excelent. Thanks. Location. I must say very good beach front and shallow water for swimming. Good plantation everywhere and Air conditioning was perfectly active all the time. Fantastic Breakfast they server with different menu every morning. Good spas are quite nearby like Eranda and Absolute sanctuary. The beach ambient is great. The staff at the beach stand are nice, served us water and water melon. I wish they would served water melon more then once or placed it at the counter for self service. Breakfast is good and staff are all great. Quiet place Good staff. Food was excellent. I think the only, very minor, complaint we had was that the room electricity shut off when you weren't there (you had to put your key in the slot to turn on everything) so it was difficult to charge electronics since we had limited converters/adaptors. Nothing. I only stayed one night and cannot wait to go back as I didnt really get a chance to make full use of all the nice facilities including my accomodation and all that it included. if you want to eat lunch & dinner in the hotel its a little bit expensive because of small portions but you can easily eat cheaper and good food along the beach sea was a little bit rocky just in front of the hotel but if you can walk just 100mt right, its ok. Nothing not to like. Room too small,without a bedside table or desk to put all our phones,glasses,sunglasses on! Lighting not good for reading or putting makeup on. No umbrella outside near pool, so too hot to sit by pool!!. Small inconvenience was that the hotel does not provide a ride from the ferry or airport to the hotel included in the price you pay for the rooms (which is not cheap). We asked about the price for a ride to the airport and we were told it is 700TBH were with a regular taxi it was 400 so it was a bit weird... The location is kinda far from the Chaweng beach, and there's not much restaurant around that area, u need to rent a car or wait for the free shuutle bus to go out. Villa was a bit small, outdoor bathroom. nothing. The beach. Small air-condtioned room (we stayed at deluxe balcony). Poor Internet speed in the room, actually - no internet at all, most of our staing time. Bar, minibar restoraunt prices are way up high. Mosquito issue need to be addressed . Food quality and spread need to improve to a five star standard. faucets in the bathrooms are over used and need a change urgently. rooms are pricey for the facility offered. Rooms are over filled with unnecessary furnishing and wash basin in the bathroom is the most uncomfortable to be used. should have some evening party gathering on the beach front for residents as the nearby area is completely dead in the evening. Bus shuttle service to chaweng, too late in the afternoon, have it start at noon would nice. My room(45) ceiling fan were too noisy when adjusted to slow spin, make it difficult for us to sleep at night. Dirty and very high tided sea. Is bit old and run down No kids facilities Not cheap at all.
