all reviews » Amazing little place! Only 6 years old (I think 3 units are newer) in an area near a famous Wat that's next to a picturesque mountain ("doi"). Host is Dutch with a bubbly-funny Thai wife who truly enjoy what they do. I plan on returning often... Absolutely one of my best experiences as a guest anywhere. The host and hostess are very nice and extremely helpful. The view from the room is wonderful. The pool is clean, nice and even big enough to swim. The garden is lovely. The room is comfortable and feels cozy. In short, a perfect location to spend your time in Chiang Rai and Northern Thailand. Very nice homestay, located close to the Kok river. Nice view over rice paddies. Excellent Thai food. The owners, Tony and Phaet are very helpful in providing tips and guidance for trips in the surroundings. However, the pool invites you to relaxe on the premises. This is absolutely fantastic!! So relaxt, beautiful rooms and pool side and the food is amazing. And the people are superfriendly too. Breakfast is super and included and if you order lunch or dinner.....yummie!!!!. Lovely peaceful location, good place to get around and see the sights. The location is about 7kms from the center of Chiang Rai, set in countryside. Toony and his family are wonderful hosts. Felt like I was visiting family friends. accueil, cadre, familial. the swimming pool is very nice and the rooms are fine, also if the one in the top too much hot. Having to leave after 10 days, but we are returning Nov/Dec when we fix our dates. I'd have to be crazy to find something... Our stay was perfect!. Nothing, everything is super great. Nothing. Food was a little expensive. Male owner was very rude on the phone before we checked in (However he was nice once we met in person). Nothing. The soap and shampoo are not very nice (shampoo in a tiny sachet, difficult to open, very small bar of soap). Breakfast was a letdown. Not much variety, not much choice for vegetarians and if Pat and Toony aren't around,as was the case on our second day, the rest of the staff hardly speaks any English so trying to make them understand what you are requesting is very difficult,. Nothing to mention. it's not possible to pay with credit card. It can create some problem, especially if you booked more rooms together..
