Good location, there are plenty of eating options nearby. There is a river boat stop closeby, so it is easy to get around in the city. The hotel has daily room service, and complimentary two bottles of water are provided daily. I've read previous reviews that the staff is unfriendly - I would not agree that they are unfriendly, the reception staff just seems exhausted. There were always staff cleaning the corridors. Contrary to other reviews, reception staff were very busy but were always helpful and polite to us. Very efficient. The rooftop pool was a relaxing and attractive oasis in the noise and chaos of Khaosan. The location was in a charming side-street with plenty of stalls, street food . The hotel is in a great location along Soi Ram Buttri where there are restaurants and bars. It's also less than a 5 minute walk to Khao San Road. A coffee shop is literally outside the doors and there is 7/11 nearby, pharmacy and excursion desks if you want to book something. Despite being in a great location, it was still peaceful so a good night sleep can be achieved. The hotel is very clean and the room was comfortable. The staff were helpful although a little hard to understand at times. A . The hotel is located in an area full of amenities and walk distance from parks, bars and temples. I travelled alone and felt safe to walk at any time of the day. The area also is quite nevertheless the huge amount of people walk pass and the music at night. The hotel has two roof top pools and with the 95 degree heat in BKK I got a ton of use out of them. We arrived at 6 in the morning and they give us the room even the check in is at 2 pm...supernice location and amazing price for the service. We loved the swimmingpool!. Location is in my opinion superb. No noise at night and only a 3 min walk from ks road. Rambuttri rd does have some nice restaurants and the pop up bar/ van is awesome!. Ideal place to stay if doing koh San road , just set off the Main Street great swimming pools on rooftop, very clean , stayed several times would reckomend. Wi fi.. Some parts of the building do not have an elevator, so you have to carry your luggage. The free wifi did not actually function but it saved me from work ;). We stayed in this hotel twice during our stay in Thailand, and second time when we checked in to the hotel late afternoon/early evening, we had a room on the ground floor with barred windows, a view at a wall one meter next to the window, and a bit of sewage smell. It would be a good idea to have sunshades in the pool area as it gets extremely hot and there is no respite or protection from the sun. Nothing really. My first shock at arrival is how the rooms are so much smaller than they appear on the website photos. But after traveling a bit in Thailand I found out tiny rooms are the norm so I guess that is ok. So be aware if you want Western standards you need to pay much more. Other negative point was the air conditionning that was too powerfull for the size of the room. The air stream hit directly my bed so I had to sleep in my duvet sleeping bag. We found the free wifi (other places in the area charge) painfully slow on our laptop, but OK on the iPhone. Staff in general were polite, and not unfriendly (the cleaning lady on our floor was very pleasant), but they would not give us 2 extra pillows on request ?!?. Staff could have been more friendly but it didn't bother us at all. Nothing major - would definitely stay here again! Not having separate towels for the pool use. Beds were quite hard. Disappointed that there was no hot water available for us to prepare some hot drinks in the room while watching TV programs at night. A bit noisy at night when some drunken guests came back to their rooms banging at our door wrongly at the wee early hours creating a bit of disturbances otherwise everything is quite OK ! At times, guests banging when closing doors were irritating when we were all fast asleep in the wee hours !. Staff on the reception looks tired and unwilling to smile, but it can be understood, not critical point. The roof top pool which is much larger and cleaner then I imagined closed to early. Facilities were not that great. Bed was a quite hard and shower was not optimal, but what can you expect for this price?. The staff is not very friendly or helpful. 2 small things, place is noisy and pictures from the site are photoshoped, but in the end it doesn't really matter. Shower had low water pressure and water did come only circle from edges, which made washing hair underneath it difficult with water going pass the head. The first time we were here the staff was not friendly, but this time it was not so busy and they were friendly. Apparently they cannot handle stress very well :). As the afternoon heat is unbearable, I did not like that in the pool areas were any umbrellas to lay under the shade, I could not enjoy it so much. The rooms are only cleaned if you specifically ask for them to do so, also the desk staff does not always have an English speaking person available which can cause communication issues. Despite my knowing there were cheaper rooms available and I did ask for a downgrade in my application, none was offered. But I did enjoy the extra benefits I got through paying for a room I could not really afford. Wifi only allows 1 portable device to your username at once, so each guest needs an individual WiFi username. We found this the hard way as logging on with phone disconnected my laptop from wifi, but with 2 usernames it was fine. No 4 bed rooms and the 2 rooms we booked were not next to each other as requested, but hey, its an adventure and this did not really buzz us, just to let U know ... Can be quite noisy sometimes at night due to drunk and happy tourists as walls are very thin:). Breakfast not included, a/c a bit noisy, 1000 thb deposit - not mentioned on web site. the equipment is a little bit old and the bed sheet is not clean enough. The staff could have been more cheerful, but as we were not looking for best friends there and they did what you paid for, it was ok. However, wouldn't have been surprised if they had been ignorant in case of complaints... The AC had the sound of a jet plane. The pool closes at 6pm, too early in my opinion, we never got to use it as we were busy out in the city seeing things. Would have been nice to be able to have a dip after a day out. Some of the rooms are a bit basic so worth paying a little more for better room if you can afford. We had no problems at all!. The room had a very strong smell of mould/mildew. Although none could actually be seen, very clean room. It was just the smell coming from I don't know where. Small rooms, no arrangements for tea/coffee so you had to go down to the 7/11 every morning. We got a Room with a Window overlooking a... Wall... But who cares as long As You only stay in it to sleep... ;). The price is a bit high. In the same street there are more hotels that look very nice but have a better price. No fridge. Conditioner works not very well (too cold and windy). Its a bit massive, if you would like to meet people this is certainly not the place. Reception staff very rude , Yet the cleaners are friendly .
