- Room was modern - pool was clean - breakfast was good - reception staff excellent (even more excellent if you give good tip on first day) - location is perfect (7/11 1 minute walk away) - free tuk tuk to end of the Main Street - hotel tour desk was extremely helpful , I would highly recommend the "Tiger temple" tour as it is well run and reasonable price. (Don't forget to bargain price down by maybe 200-300 baht. Hotel offers Thai massage - my mother insists anybody who stays asks for "Rose" .
all reviews » The staff were very friendly and always happy to help out, whether it be calling us a tuk tuk, giving us change for our larger bills, or recommending a good restaurant. They had a complimentary tuk tuk service to the Nana bts station which made our travels in Bangkok so much easier. Their complimentary breakfast was also delicious! Our room was was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend to other travellers. Excellent value for the money. The stuff is really friendly and open and kind and smiley :) They let us into the room way before check in time so we can have some rest after long flight. The location of the hotel is great. It is not very far from central street but it it far enough from loud bars and pubs so it's quiet there. Rooms are not luxury but you get the most for your money. The overall facilities in the room was good and great value for money. Staffs at the reception and at the resturant were helpful and responsive. The tuk-tuk service to the station was very helpful as the hotel is located well inside the soi 4 and often the walk to the BTS station or to the end of the lane can be tiring and diffcult. I would say that it's just enough for a traveller that does not need to have all the comforts of home and wishes to enjoy the local economy. I would stay here again. Smart hotel with good breakfast and helpful staff. Visit "Condoms and Cabbages" restaurant on soi 12 (street no.12). Its not what you might think!. The position is really close to the pulsing nigh life district but quite peaceful. BTS is in a walk. Took 2 hours. - adjoining doors to next room so couldn't help but overhear an Indian man with what im assuming was a hooker laughing all night (etc) - room service prompt and polite but menu food was not worth money except breakfast which was good. Our shower had fairly low water pressure and didn't drain very well, so if you took a shower after someone else, you ended up having to stand in cold shower water. It tended to overflow onto the bathroom floor as well. Food. It's Ok but it's the same every day. No variety. Not much fruits. The travel desk at the hotel was the only bad experience I had. The travel desk was not helpful. The travel desk's intention to charge higher price for taxi was so evident. strong recommendation for not using them. Tiny ants attacked my room eating anything have sugar! most of the food is Indian in the restaurant! No balcony if you are a smoker. The distance from all the activity is about a 10 minute walk away. Nana area is full of "lady bars" etc., etc. and not for everyone. Perhaps we should have done more research on districts of Bangkok before booking. Nothing's crossing my mind..... couldn't see sky from the room. they were not much organized. there was not any bottle opener, no ash-tray. The hotel is located in a small and dark alley away from the main street, although quite close to main attraction area. Breakfast is a NO NO. We arrived at 9am all the buffet style servers were open and the burners to keep warm turned off. They then lit the burners to reheat the old food. Then New cooked food tipped on top of old. After seeing that Toilet needed to be close by. Bathroom a bit odd having a window. There is a blind. As a Four Star hotel it's the minor details which needs a bit of maintaining i.e. a fully operational gym also a bit of TLC around the showers.. Either than that its value for money. - Water in the swimming pool is not very clear. The travel service was disappointing - pleasant people but quite poor quality. Also some room maintenance, at least in my room, is desirable. The buffet breakfast was the same everyday. We were told that it takes 1 hour to reach the airport but actually it was juat half an hour. The walls in the bedroom could be painted. only not staying longer. The hotel is getting a little bit tired and some rooms could do with some maintenance, especially to the shower/ bathroom. The place was a bit hard to find as it was several blocks away from the main road. Further from nana hotel and plaza then you would think 10 mins walk Supposed free tuk tuk was never available No lift to first floor Had to relogin to wifi each time Very annoying but at least password was short. The shower was difficult to use. The road to enter to hotel lobby is to dark in night time. was problems with internet connection... on and off... 1. I did not have smoking facility in room, had to open window. 2. It is bit far from the attractive area of soi 4 & soi 3. an extra 200bht for breakfast. would of been great if that was included for the 1500bht, especially as they were advertising 1500bht a night with breakfast (in their Pattaya hotel). the area was a bit saucy! - we did not know this when we booked - the people in room next door were noisy on our last night. Staff not very helpfull. Little far from train station. Although they have a free tuk tuk service. Nothing. Taxi service. The hotel should help us to fix a taxi because of language problem. Mosqetos all times. Everything was cool. Not a bad place to stay but the cleaning could have been done better as the sheets and towels were not that clean. Not enough car parking spaces,and the rooms need a coat of paint to freshen them up. A lot of traffic to get to the hotel during the day. the wifi connection in the hotel rooms is too weak, more or less malfunctioning. Breakfast poor - not worth to book breakfast. Very far from the main road. Definitely not a place to stay if you are planning to commute very often to the Hotel. Most people in the hotel don't speak English. Especially during night time, it is horrible. It is not centrally air conditioned. The elevator is congested and some areas are often not clean.
