Loads of things for children to do: some organised activities such as water polo, which enabled them to make friends and continue the fun afterwards. Lots of space in the rooms; we were a family of four and were not cramped at all. Very family freindly.good activities for children. Reasonable price resturant. 30 minutes from airport. Good end to trip to phuket. Helpful staff installed microsoft word in pc in common area for an urgent matter.
all reviews » Loved Sunwing mainly because of the pools and sea for the family. Restaurants better then average. Not great though and alittle pricey. Room cleaning alittle slack. All in all we really enjoyed it. Overall a good experience . The rooms were ok and the location next to the beach was very cool. The pool was very good and some outdoor activities also for the kids. The brerakfast was average. excellent location with their own beach, no traffic, very peaceful. good pools all over the facility. not too far from the market, 10-15 min walk, we rented a car and drove all over phuket. The staff, room, food, facilities was very good. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator in our building so the luggage had to be carried up. The resort is quite far from the main market so if you wanted any groceries you had quite a bit of walk . wifi should have been provided in the rooms, had to go to the lobby each time to check mails etc. the kids activities were not as much as they had advertised. should be more water sports on the beach. nothing. getting overcrowded closer to Christmas and New Year. Restaurant - food is not so good as in restaurants outside the hotel bars - bit too expensive by Thai standards. A bit far from the main shopping centers and attractions. Very noisy. tuk tuk or taxi required if you want to move around. Wasn't really the place for us as it was more family orientated. Was a bit like living on a caravan park (with all the kids running about like crazy) and the value for money wasn't quite there for me. garbage on the beach rude staff at reception and at some restaurants ants in the rooms CASH deposit upon arrival restaurants\bars closing at 21:30. The front office staff could be more friendly and helpful.

Information about the area

Hotel located on Bang Tao Beach. Bangtao beach is located on the west side of Phuket island, about 25 minutes from Phuket International airport.

Bangtao bay is just north of Kamala Beach, this 8 km. sandy beach with an 18-hole golf course is suitable for swimming, sunbathing and water sports. The beach is lined with several upmarket resorts called Laguna Phuket, most of which are part of an integrated resort system.

Travelling information

The resort is located on the west of the island, a 25-minute drive to Phuket International Airport and a 20-minute drive to Patong.

A scheduled shuttle bus going to Patong and Phuket Town is available daily. For other destinations, we have a hotel taxi service.
