We really enjoy our time in tanote villa. Its a great olace!!! The staff in the frontdesk were so kindly! Its far from downtown but you have 2daily free transfers from the hotel, at 8.30 am and 1.30pm, so good to take them if u want to visit the center of ko tao. We stayed in a new room, so if you are going now, you will enjoy a totally new space! Swimming pol with jacuzzi inside, amazing! I'd recommend u to go, even more if ko tao is the end of your trip. Location is perfect for going to auw l.
all reviews » Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, bright and airy with air conditioning, TV and safety deposit box. The restaurant was good and fairly priced. The pool area is great and the view from the infinity pool is amazing. Free transfers to and from the ferry piers. This was my favourite of all places we stayed ..it's paradise ..it have a small beach walking distance from hotel with the best snorkelling on island .. it's for relaxation and peace ..amazing views ..pick up straight from boat .free taxi daily into town .. Nice, clean and comfortable bungalows,located in a quiet garden like hillside, 5 min uphill of a lovely bay beach. Imho best bay at ko tao. Friendly staff. Nice pool. German dive school right in the bay. Free taxi and pickup service. Would stay here again. This place is great. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean and quite big. It is only a short walk to the beach. They offer free pick-up from the Pier and Free taxi rides to the center twice a day. Brilliant place, really nice place to stay. Friendly staff and good value. Good restaurant and owner is keen to make you stay good. Great beach for snorkelling, better than some of the dive sites. Really good value, on the quiet side of the island. Its a pitty because all people is so nice there, but specially 1 waitress was so bad...as said, the location is far if you want to enjoy night life. 500thb for one way to downtown. The walkway to the beach is a bit of an adventure to say the least! It was ok for us as we are young and fit. Older people or families with young children might struggle with it, especially in the dark. The hotel is quite isolated, with the only other options for eating and drinking nearby being on the beach. Not ideal at night time. It's far from everything and unfortunetly all closes down at 10 so stock up from town .. Not to much bungalows but they are building a new hotel like building with about 20 rooms. May get rather full then. Way down to beach somewhat steep and breathtaking up. May be to much for older people. It is quite far from everything, so there are not so many restaurant options in the evening, other than the Tanote Villa restaurant. Location makes getting anywhere else expensive, great as a retreat but got tired of limited restaurant choices, in the immediate area. Free shuttle to Sairee would make it perfect. The breakfasts were tiny, and nothing to write home about. Very far from island town aria and no-transportation arranged by hotel. No-choice of eating place around hotel. Very hard location for walking Not rearly beach front, 8min sloping road. The only negative point I have is that it was a little bit far from all the bars and shops. It is far away from the center of Koh Tao, and you only have 2 free taxis with specific timetable to go to the center; otherwise you have to pay the taxi. The breakfast is just ok. Bridge to the beach is a bit adventurous. The construction that was going on by the pool side. Not having everything completely built. There should be something written about that. I think ppl deserve to know, especially paying good money, before they get there!. One younger male waiter was really rude, didnt want to be there and made sure everyone knew. He put a real downer on meal time. Location is amazing for views but out the way from town. Staff not professional at all, better at the reception although restaurant staff completely inexperienced, and ignorant. Breakfast was just a joke. Ridiculously small portions, not tasty. Definitely not value for the money food wise or hospitality wise. I would not go back. The long climb when coming back from the sea.
