Almost everything! The staff were super nice and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, complete with all necessary amenities. The hotel is not on a beach per se, but you can walk there in like 5 minutes. As it's located in the heart of Sairee it is within walking distance to convenient shops and restaurants. The hotel has its own restau/bar out front too and the food was quite good. Their spa, although very plan-looking, turned out to be exceptionally good. Very impressed with our masseuses.
all reviews » The staff we dealt with were fantastic. 3 of the ladies at the desk couldn't do more to help. We were assigned a room upstairs and inquired on being put in a downstairs room. They changed it immediately and without a single fuss! The rooms are so clean. It is quiet but right on the doorstep of some wonderful bars and restaurants! Brilliant. It was our second stay as we loved it so much a couple of weeks before!!!. Excellent location in the heart of Sairee village. 150 meters from one of the best villages I have ever seen! Restraunt/Pub was great a d served delicious meals. Stayed in a superior room, room was very good good and bathroom was nice and big. Nice pool to cool down in after a day of scuba!! All in all a great experience. wonderful location right in the middle of the restaurants and bars and shops. 5 mins to beach, lovely food, room was excellant and so spacious and clean, lovely wet room. lovely clean pool and comfy sunloungers, best hotel we stayed at with whole visit to thailand. really would recommend. Really close to the beach, aswell as the shops, restaurants and bars! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room (standard) was nice and the snorkeling trip we organised through the hotel was great! Free pick up from the pier was also really handy!. It was in the centre of the main street. The restaraunt cum bar of the hotel is actually a popular watering hole with an all you can eat pizza deal which is excellent. Our delux rooms were amazing and super clean. The walk to the main beach is 3 mins. Staff very nice. Really good included reakfast buffet. 5min to the beach and "centre". Pool 2min away. We loved our stay at Simple Life, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel was amazing. Two females travelling, we felt safe and secure, and we were close to the main beach and all the action also. The staff was really nice (we had some personnal issues and they helped us a lot) and the localisation was perfect ! Close to everything but calm and quiet at the same time !!. Very unhappy with the 3% surcharge they add to the price of the rooms if you pay by credit card. Didn't say this anywhere on the booking so they have you over a barrel when you arrive. So the price per letsbookhotel.com is probably incorrect for most people. Then you need to leave a 2000bht deposit for the key. Cheeky and inconvenient. Breakfast is poor. 1) About thai massage from Simple Life. Thai massage is good, but masseur looks TV and lose attention. I suggest hotel massage SPA turn off TV when massage is doing and turn on relax music :-) 2) There is no transparent window curtains. Transparent window curtains is good for air ventilation and prevent mosquito. Bathroom smelled, check out at 11am, shower gel dispenser empty. Pool was a bit small and murky. (outdoor). Not the coolest pool I have seen but who cares the ocean is absolutely stunning. Beach is a few minutes away from beach so no beach front bungalow. A bit pricey. Wi-fi was not stable. - no mosquito-net. no bathtub. Squeaky doors. Shower could have been better maintained. Only shower didnt had much power. Wouldnt reconmend their diving school either. Not very friendly to their customers and lack of service. We waited for a morning dive at 06.15h and the dive instructor showed up after 06.45. Only because we called him out of the bed. He didnt appologized and smelled like if he just came from the pub. To me it doenst show respect to the safety of your clients.... checkout time 11am not good enough! not many things to do inside the hotel and very small poo. buffet breakfast with roomwas the worst iv ever hadl. no on the beach, its a walk through another hotel 5-10 mins. The rooms are very nice but they have large patio doors, which lead directly out to the pathway, as there are lots of rooms there is a constant parade of people walking past your door looking in !. Pool quite small with limited space. Breakfast limited. Felt there was better value for money on Koh Tao. It is not that close the beach, no elevator, and no phone. Air con not particularly effective especially as only worked when in the room. Breakfasts were poor as far too many flies. General cleanliness left a little to be desired, symptomatic of Koh Tao generally mind. Shower head needed mending. not enought draw space for clothes lived out of suite case for five days not happy. To much building work going on drilling at 7-30am every morning could have let us known in advance!. the staff was not friendly , helpful or organised. the sun loungers by the pool should be changed urgently. 1. Really overpriced hotel. Our standart room cost us about 1400 baht/day during lowest possible season. 2. Standard room is dark, oldy and really different from pictures on website. Moreover, standart rooms are located at separate small and old building near the hotel's bar. From morning until 23:00 the loudest noise was disturbing us all time. 3. The aircon didn't work perfectly well during day time while at night it was freezing over. Staff didn't know anything about the island, tours etc. English pretty bad, not helpful at all. The spa is terrible!! Expensive for what you get compared to the rest of Thailand, rooms average (dead cockroach in room) and pool pretty small! Recommended a place for laundry which ruined/lost our clothes!. It was very noisy, bathroom was clean but needed repairs. No privacy because our balcony was also the gallery/walkway for other guests. Breakfast was terrible.
