Mnarani Beach Cottages overlooks the northern coastal beaches of Zanzibar, 1.5 km away from the quiet fishing village of Nungwi. Some of the traditional-style beach cottages are steps away from the turquoise blue Indian Ocean. All of the accommodation includes air conditioning and a private bathroom. Some feature carved wooden 4-poster beds, balconies with sea views or a fully equipped kitchenette and living area. Fresh local Swahili seafood specialities are served daily in the à la carte restaurant along with other international and vegetarian options. The bar is located on the beach and provides drinks, games and music while relaxing in a couch or hammock. There is a large swimming pool with surrounding tropical palm trees and a massage hut overlooking the reef. Water sports facilities, sun loungers and beach towels are provided for guests. Guests can enjoy stunning Indian Ocean views on the wooden deck, which is is scattered with sun loungers, hammocks and swings. Bicycle hire, car rental and luggage storage are available on request and there is free Wi-Fi throughout. A shuttle service for Zanzibar International Airport, a 1-hour drive away, can be arranged.

* the natural and cosy style of the rooms, the cleanliness, the surroundings, the rich beautiful garden where the cottages are located. *The friendliness of staff, them being ready to help you all the time * the location of the cottages being close to local people, the fisherman's village, so that you could see the culture if you wanted. Staff very polite and helpfull. Good white sand beach. Good healthy food. Limited amount of food may be to avoid wastage. Clean all round. Safe. Good for quite relaxing holiday. No loud music at night.

This is a nice quiet resort with beautiful views and excellent snorkeling trips. A prefect place to unwind and spend some serious down-time. the friendliness of the staff is the best i have ever experienced - simply wonderful. friendly staff, good room cleaning, poolarea, weather. The friendly staff, atmosphere, scenery and food. My family loved the atmosphere and amenities. Khamis Khamis Khamis is the best. We liked; friendly staff (Salum and Jina), beautiful views of the ocean, the deck, the swahili evening, the pool area, quiet setting, the rabbits. The beach cottage are very peachfull and clean. Rooms are nice and spacious. Staff is nice. Snorkelling trip very good. location is good. * the ups and downs in the richness of food - the swahili night was perfect in food choices - after that the following night the food was scarce, compared to that. * the amount of the deserts was not enough for the guests at some nights, the amount and the choices of deserts can be improved for sure. * the rooms are a bit small, the twin bed room is impossible to move in. Price of excursions high. Better to take those proposed on the beach (I recommend Jack Sparrow). Food was only OK for such a nice place. Apparently the beach comes and goes with the seasons. We had no sand out front in March. water preasure in the shower is a problem. there was no beach right by the hotel, even though the pictures online said it would be. this was very disappointing. also, when I needed to stay an extra night and said I could sleep in my friends apartment, the staff was difficult about the money I should pay just because the room had a sea view instead of a garden view. Me staying in my friends apartment would either way only mean an extra income for the hotel, so I think the rules could have been a bit more flexible. Nothing!. Suggestion for other guest: Pay attention for the room that you booked. We did not like; the lunch menu was very restrictive (we stayed for 10days), there was not much going on in the evening around the hotel (no atmosphere or entertainment), attention to detail (having to ask for things multiple times). The food was not good and should cater for the audience they recieve Europe , sa. I am not sure where to start. There is no beach but only rocky seagrass where swimming is not really possible. The food is tasteless, no seasoning or spices, and not a big variety. Wifi was not working for the last 4 days. too much money for too little. Pay extra for all facilities - e.g. even pool table and kayaks !. At our last day when we went to swim despite we lock our room, somebody came into our room ama stole my accesories, bag, and hair straightiner and nobody help me to get it back. In my opinion this otel is not safe to keep personal belongings with you i'm so disconcerted.
