The location is perfect in Zhongshan area. Short walk to MRT station and many nice eateries and shopping, and yet quiet enough for a relaxing stroll in the area. The hotel itself if good in a functional sense. Nothing luxurious so price is relatively reasonable for such a good location. I had triple room and size is still comfortable. The reception is on the 6th floor, and the breakfast hall is on this floor. This hall/cafe is opened all day and tea/coffee and snacks are available for self serv.
all reviews » Like most reviewers, the one thing that might put you off is the lobby in which it's a shared one with people who live in the same building. What it means is that the hotel doesn't occupy the entire building. It starts from 8th floor. The lobby looks old and doesn't give you a very good impression. However, once you arrive on 8th floor, you will be nicely surprised that this is indeed a rather proper hotel. It's also very close to Zhongsan station. It costs only NT$20 for a one way trip to Xim. - Central location, very close to MRT Zhong Shan station - Very courteous staff speaking proper English - Reasonable price that includes a decent breakfast - Good A/C system - Strong wifi signal - English newspaper available in the lobby. Good location, handy to MRT station, dept store..... Helpful & friendly front desk staff. Comfortable bed. This hotel also provides their guests with free coffee/tea and rest area after checked out. The room is very comfortable and clean. I like the bed and bathroom. Excellent location, 2 minutes from mrt station. efficient staffs clean. Location, service. helpful staf. Staff were good and friendly. The location; Starbucks, Mitsukoshi Shopping mall, Macdonald, Zhong Shan Station, Daiso, Post Office, Police Post and Melange Café are all within walk distance around the hotel. Near ZhongShan station. The hotel signage is not very clear and a taxi may just drive right by without seeing it. Ground level entrance is also not very tourist friendly if you have big luggage/bags. The breakfast buffet was rather poor in therm of selections. - Rooms facing Nanjing Rd are bright but pretty noisy, but shutters are provided for noise insulation - Our rooms was not perfectly clean and the carpet was stained. The remote control for the TV wasn't working. The phone in the bath room came off the wall, was hanging in the air. House keeping staff didn't dry the bath mat and bath tub on the 2nd day of my stay. It was slippery! But they did fix the above problems after I complained to the reception. My room has no window which is quite risky if there is any emergency because you can't see what is going on outside the building. The entrance to the hotel from the first floor smell stinky because it has to be shared with other places on the building. Hotel staffs can't speak English very well, so it is difficult to ask for any information. The breakfast should have more things for a european taste. Skype connection very slow. Have booked 3 same category rooms but I have got a small room as compared to the other 2 rooms. At 8/f. Room was a bit small. AC turned on as high as possible and the room was still too hot. Breakfast not much selection. The Staff service is poor and not a family friendly hotel. Typical Japanese type of Breakfast as there's a lot of Japanese Business Guests staying there. Really best for Solo or Business traveler. My room was at 7th floor. Noisy probably because of the shops at same floor.
