Everything!!!! We were treated like family from beginning to end, this was such a delightful stay. The rooms were beautiful and while the WCs and bathing facilities were on the hall, with only four rooms per floor, it simply felt like you were staying I someone's home. Highly recommend paying the extra for the lakeside view. The view from the lake view rooms is so breathtakingly beautiful it is worth the extra amount for those rooms. No elevators, so if you have big luggage, then be prepared to carry it up the tiny stairs. The hotel is located up in the hills and far from the city center. But you can take the furnicular and it takes about 5 minutes to get to the city center. the stairs! our room was in the third floor, and without elevator it is quiet difficult for elder poeple with legproplems like me. Location is amazing for its views, but at the same time it makes it less accessable. Funicular only goes until 10, which limits the options for a nice evening out. Switserland is hell of expensive and the walk up to the hotel was long but a nice view. The check in was a problem. We had advised of an evening check in but arrived to find the door locked with a note to ring a mobile number. On ringing it went to answer message in German, which we did not understand. Fortunately a German couple arrived son after and they we able to get through and obtain the codes to release the room keys. It would have been more convenient if the access code to release the key had been provided on the booking confirmation. Shared bathroom. It would be specified first of booking and the cost is too expensive in respect services offered.
