The staff are very friendly, clean and comfortable and also the location is good as it close to train station. Good value for money .. I love the atmosphere .. Will stay here again. We had great time in Grindewald, we were impressed by the secenery there and breakfast was also amazing, esp the cute napkin! you should go to Grindewald and enjoy the nature!!. Location Friendly staff Very clean. The rented blanket was really good. Wifi was ok at the reception. The views were awesome from here, and the hostel was really near the Grund train station. You can also take a direct bus here to the Grindelwald city centre where theres a sport centre with an ice skating rink. Location - the region is beautiful! So much to do. The breakfast was well enough. I will come again to go skiing! Easy access to Mannlichen gondola and Klein shedding train. The location is pretty good. We could arrive easily through train and city bus from Grindelwald Main Station. Simple but clean, with helpful staff. Not too many 'rules' and a nice easy going atmosphere. Nice staff Good location for exploring Eiger and the North face. Fabulous scenery (especially if your window is overlooking the stream and mountains, not the parking lot). Fascinating village with nice restaurants in better hotels, cogwheel railroad, cows all around and even the smell of manure: real countryside. Nice to drop by on a visit to Interlaken and Thun. They need to provide more kicthen/ cooking equipments for backpackers. I have to queue long enough to use the microwave to heat my food. No guest kitchen Reception only open part of the day. There was free WiFi but the signal is not strong. It is 25mins away from the town. There is only 1 restaurant near the hostel which closes at 9.30pm. variety in breakfast. There was no wifi in the rooms. You have to pay for using the pool table, for renting the blanket. The showers were at the basement which meant a long walk down. There was no communal kitchen for cooking. Expensive! But cheaper than the rest of the region. Only one restraunt is around and no kitchen provides in the hostel. The lack of a kitchen to cook a simple meal is a shame. The toilet from room 2 is some distance away!. A lot of running and slamming in doors from noicy guests. Extremely basic. Facilities are in the corridor. No bedlinen, no towels, no soap - have to bring everything with yourselves (they call it budget accommodation), or pay extra for everything. Reception is open a couple of hours in the morning and in the evening. Looks like a family-run business. The building seems to be a set of modular site containers. Nothing to complain of if the rate was a third of what they charge.
