I enjoyed staing in this hotel. My room was nice, comfortable and clean. The hotel was full of people, but WC area was empty everytime I need it. Breakfast was also excelent, and it was possible to seat outside on fresh air in the small and nice patio. The breakfast was amazing and diverse. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English well. The beds were very comfortable and wider than you average single bed. The history of the building is available to you and quite interesting.

The hotel is in the heart of Stockholm and in the popular quarter Södermalm. I stayed at Columbus Loft very often during my study-year in Stockholm. Highly ecommended!. Delicious breakfast; really friendly staff; spacious room; ALL DAY refreshments (fruits, buiscits, water, juice, coffee, tea) - unbelievable, you can just sit in the lobby, read newspapers or whatever and drink coffee. The quality of this hostel for the price is amazing. The staff is very kind and ready to help at any time, rooms were correct and a good breakfast included. 4 minutes walk to a metro station, very good location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was bright, clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom facilities were kept clean. There was never a queue. The location was excellent. I would stay here again. The hospitality, very nice and friendly staff. The room was perfect with a great view. And the breakfast! Everything you could ask for and kept after. Nice laidback atmosphere. This is a great 3 star hotel with friendly and accomodating staff. I have stay here at least 3 times now and have recomended it ,to friends who have also stayed here. The palace is an old hospital and the restauting kept the main typical features of the architetture. Friendly and informal place. Courtesy, coffee and water always available free of charge, good position in a new trendy area of stockholm, good value for money. Very close to the lively busy Folkungagatan with restaurants, pubs, night clubs. Charming courtyard when nice weather. The beds were very comfortable and the staff were very knowledgeable about the local area and places to see and eat. Lovely decorated building. great breakfast location. Location was great, walkable distance to the old city and lots of shops and restaurant around. Nice to be close to most of POIs. The shared shower rooms in the Loft could have been kept a little cleaner. There was a lot of hair in the plug holes and empty shampoo bottles etc were not cleared away. There is no elevator to the 3rd floor so be prepared for going up and down; there is no enough space in the breakfast room if outside is bad weather so go for having breakfast better early - about 8:30 (however none of these things is tragic). The only drawback, no elevator on a three floors hotel. Should be advertised in case of people with difficulties. Being woken early morning by the clickety-clack of people locking and unlocking their rooms!. The cushions. Small hard little things. Quite noisy from doors opening and closing in the night. We stay at the Loft part on 3rd floor. No elevator and old stone stairs. Not suitable for all guests. Communal bathrooms were ok however the sinks took a long while to drain as they were rather clogged up which was a bit tedious. Shared showers, but, hey, it's Stockholm. No lift which means really heavy luggage sort of inconvenience. Noisy, no sink in room, price level (based on facilities). showers and toilets not perfectly clean, extremely noisy doors. the wifi did not work very well in the room. The big differences in decoration between the flours, horrible stairs!. We booked a triple room, which contained two solid beds and one sofa bed. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, it was lower on some ends and in the middle there was a painful bump, which caused the person sleeping on it quite some discomfort. It's not suitable for an adult or teenager to sleep on it, perhaps only for very small children who do not take up much space and who won't reach the painful middle part of the bed. Parking situation - charge 200 skr/day by the hotel - wrong information by booking - rented parkingspot was occupied ... at least getting another one. Noisy doors!.
