We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful. The location was amazing. Definitely have an evening drink at the roof top bar. It was a spectacular view. location was amazing! Breakfast buffet was quite good, but not as varied as others. The hotel staff was professional and very helpful.Very comfortable bed . Very nice room decor. Very helpful staff. Very good location.

My mini bar was inoop, and twice I requested it to be serviced. The mini bar was never repaired. A lot of outside visitors to the "terrace bar" which meant that the elevators were always full. Noise at night was a bit of an issue, as were security concerns that so many outside people were in the hotel.The breakfast room has no windows, we would have liked breakfast on the roof terrace but it doesn't open until 11am. 80 euros was expensive for the hotel car park.There were no facilities for getting tea or coffee after 11pm. No facilities were available in the room, the bar was closed and the porter declined to open the bar or provide coffee for us on our return after our evening out. opening hours terrace bar and prices of drinks (4,50 for a small beer). too noisey-on the plaza with restaurants and bar. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.wish breakfast had been included in the price of the room. insufficient staff on roof terrace, could not get a drink. Breakfast prices were expensive when you only want coffee and pan tostada.Despite assurance that I could book garage space prior to arrival direct with hotel, they would not accept such a reservation. I had to use public facility at €17.50 per day. Getting there not easy even with instructions as there were constructions works and some roads were closed. Parking fairly expensive at 20 EUR day.They scratched our car when parking it in their garage. We didnt realise till we had left, so couldnt say anything about it. Obvioiusly they must have known they scrateched it but didnt tell us. Very difficult to find when driving to the hotel. Would not recommend this. Parking very expensive. Breakfast not up to standard of other Spanish hotels we stayed in and also breakfasts are charged as an extra.Despite enquiring about parking at reception, the receptionist failed to mention that a porter parks all vehicles in the extermely narrow alleyed car park. Because of this we scratched our rented car. Rooms have very little natural light. no english tv channels. Staff at reception was in my view to much interested in talk between themselves.Friendly but a bit too distant ( not "warm"). Price / qaulity ratio not optimal for December. Compared to other good quality hotels ( 4 stars) we booked on this Andalusia trip, I found Dona Maria relatively expensive. BUT ... you get something back : The location is indeed perfect !. The WIFI system only worked inermitently. nowhere near a 4 star hotel and was very disapointed with the room. Renovation work was being carried out at the hotel,the noise was unbearable.The breakfast was not the standard expected of a 4 star hotel. We were on the 3rd floor. There is a rooftop terrace with a bar that is open until 11pm, but they then spend 1 hour or more clearing up. Lots of noise!!!! The rooms were very small, again not a 4 star hotel. Uncomfortable beds. Very noisy work being carried out at an early hours of mornings. The walls of the hotel were paper thin. It seemed that we lived together in the same room with everybody. All the noises of the night and the morning were heard in our room. And last but not least, it was impossible to park our car in the hotel parking lot because they have room only for Smart-type car. So we had to park far away from the hotel and traveled with our luggage through the old streets. In my eyes the hotel did not meet the standard of a 4 star hotel, the rooms we were put in over looked other rooms, the rooms where also dark. The Hotel in reality should be a 2 starat best.Surly reception staff, building work in the room above us, dirty terrace and pool,TV out of order.
