Everything about this hotel was just perfect. We were lucky enough to book a double room, as the hotel was fully booked. No wonder! He is smart, resourceful, really cared about his guests, and speaks English beautifully. The rooms were each beautifully and individually decorated with taste, a mini fridge, some with balconies, situated in the old and fun part of San Sebastián. I highly recommend staying at this pensione. We found it by a chance booking through letsbookhotel.com, and we f. Haritz was outstanding with his hospitality of his families Pension. He always had time to give you inside tips and was very informative when we asked about the history of San Sebastián. The room was very comfortable for our family of 4 and it is perfectly located to beach, shops and delicious bakery and tapas bars. Thanks Haritz for making our stay such a relaxing holiday. Excellent location in the heart of old San Sebastian where all the quaint, charming old buildings are and vibrant life of this city is located. Just 120 metres from th Boulavard (all buses) & 70 metres from the harbour with its fresh fish restaurants. Very smart clean modern room, very good wi fi with all other facilities. The hostel is located in The Old City a stones throw from the fishing harbour. The staff were extraordinary helpful explaining things and answering my questions. The room is elegant, modern and really comfortable. There is a refrigerator to keep water and drinks cool. WIFI was free and worked well. There is a nice view of Calle Puerto and the sea ftrom the small balcony. It's in a great location, right in the old town, so very close to all the restaurants and pintxos bars, and also close to La Concha beach. Compared to many other hotels and accommodation options this pension is great value - although it doesn't include breakfast in the room rate, there is a fridge in the room so you can keep a few supplies on hand. The hostel is located in calle puerto, where many people pass through and thus some noise must be tolerated, when the windows are open, but if the windows are closed the room is noise protected. If you're a sensitive sleeper you may need some earplugs as the soundproofing isn't too great. Also it can get noisy when you open the window (which is the only way to get fresh air into the room). Everything was so nice. Reception is not 24/7 however you can contact them on a mobile number in case you need something. My room faced the street so a bit noisy on late Thursday and Friday night, but that's to be expected in the old town I guess. Very poor soundproofing between rooms - non existent. Was awaken several times in the night by other guests who were young and enjoying the travel experience. It didn't have the name Pension Confort anywhere on the outside of the building??? Walked passed it 3 times before phoning to ask where it was. street noise but with window closed it was fine & with location we expected some so it was no real problem. Smell in bathroom. Nothing. Nothing, it was great. Soundproofing within the pension could be better - could hear every footfall. But appreciate that this is an issue pertinent to converting such townhouses to multi-occupancy. I stress that this did not detract from our enjoyment of our stay and I'd recommend this pension to anyone considering it. We had to leave eventually. Nothing. Room layout was poor - no sparate bathroom, strange handbasin held very little water. Laundry service extremely expensive.
