Staff were very accomodating. As it was near the end of the season our room was ready when we arrived at 10am and we were also allowed to remain until early evening on our departure. Rooms were clean and cooking facilities were good. Whilst the bed was a little uncomfortable, as our stay was was only for a few days it was not too much of a problem. Good value for money. Staff were very lovely. Could not do enough for you. Hotel is basic and has perhaps seen better days but comfortable and very clean. Cleaners did not come in every day but that is no problem. Would definitely go again. It is very reasonably priced accommodation on the door step of the very expensive port!!!.
all reviews » It was a lovely spacious one bedroom apartment. Clean and well presented. Good location, close to lovely local restaurants and bars. Even nicer restaurants only ten minutes away walking. Closer to Palma Nova as well, we walked there once or twice about 3km away but a nice easy walk. We actually loved everything, from customer service in the reception, room service stuff, location, layout of the room, clean water, food, facilities, swimming pool, tennis tables, entertaining nights.Everything was absolutely superb. Excellent place for self-catering. Location was perfect for us, also stayed on the 7th floor with a fantastic view. No noise from the bar, it was perfect. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definately come back. good location for shops bars and beach.Hotel breakfast very good. Booked a one bed apart for 2 males and ended up with a two bed apt...nice gesture. Hotel staff very friendly hotel spotlessly clean. Breakfast was not too bad and the pool was clean. The entertainment staff made up in effort what they lacked in quality and if you were on a very limited budget then its not a bad palce to stay. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its price... and view from window. And that's in general all advatages. The hotel is cheap, so they costcut almost everything. However stuff was very friendly, especially cool lady - Carmen, from reception desk :). The pool was nice and big. supermarket was very close, not far from the beach, we were near the luxury yachts. Good pool area , quiet hotel Fantastic area and harbour , good resteraunts and bars. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good entertainment for kids. The price was very cheap. The staff was extremely friendly. Location to Portanous was very good, the closest supermarket (Iceland) contains everything you need to fill the fridge, the drink prices were reasonable considering and lunch menu from snack bar was pretty good!. Had not realised there were entertainers at the pool side all day. Did not want the irritating Francesco shouting 'come on people wake up' especially on the first days of my holiday!!! The others were fine but he was so in love with himself. That said by day 3 you get used to it (except we were oybthere 4 days!!!). The only thing I really missed was a microwave if we decided to stay in and cook. Otherwise it had everything. This may sound silly but when it hit 40 degrees on the second last day of our stay ~ now that was nobodys fault!. Overall external look is a bit dated, could do with a bit of design flair adding. Pool area a bit sparse and not very inviting-could do with sprucing up. new/more sun loungers required. Rooms and pool area dated and in need of some refurb. Building work nearby. Too much building going on removal of tennis courts losing its elegance. The rooms were dated, the air con was next to useless, nut to be fair, you pay for what you get. The big problem is that this is a cheap hotel and if you are on a budget then the Port probably isnt going to be for most people, its expensive to eat out there so just be prepared for that. Hotel is in the middle of other more popular towns, like Palmanova for instance, so it's far to get anywhere. Animation is rather poor and budget is close to none. During my 14days stay, only thrice were some entertainers from outside. Animation done by local team was good, but only for children. Entertainment very poor, no air conditioning in restaurant it was far too hot, sunbeds very uncomfortable, no parasols, we had to sit under the palm trees for shade, not much choice of food. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was not very cool. Also there was noise next door to the hotel where a construction is being put up. Food , being charged to borrow hair dryer and iron Very uncomfortable beds , hardly slept on trip. The noise. If you get odd room numbers you'll get the pool view but also all the noise from the entertainment in the restaurant downstairs. Microwave would be nice. Although the breakfast was fair, the dinner tended to be somewhat of low quality. The Lifts, and lack of Air Condition in ropom. Staff were rude and unhelpful, the location is surrounded by building sites, hotel is very dated and worn out, rooms are tatty and noisy, aircon did not reduce temp in room a single degree the 3 days we were there, half board menu is pretty limited and get there early if you want anything fresh. The best thing was leaving!.
