Only 10 min. Taxi drive from airport. The hotel was renovated 2013. Close to beach, restaurants and shops. We stayed one week (half board) at end of October 2013, and at this time of the year season ends. Therefore, we see that there is less queuing everywhere and more quiet beach life than during summer season. We got very good and prompt service in reception, restaurant and pool bar. The hotel has a majority of German speaking guests, but all English communication with reception and restauran.
all reviews » Location is excellent - the beach is a street across and it is 10 mins away from the airport. Facilities are good too - decent sized swimming pool, pool table, gym, spa facilities... The hotel organized different events over different nights - flamenco, acrobatics and fire show, singers on Friday night and a Dj on Saturday night.. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner buffet also had a huge variety. Getting to Palma is convenient by bus (which you would get just outside . I loved this hotel. So nice. The food is excellent at the staff was wonderful. Especially Toni......He is always smiling and I love that! The staff works extremely long hours yet they are always helpful and smiling. Excellent espresso coffee. Variety of good food, excellent fish and meat. Friendly staff and all new facilities. Nice indoor and outdoor swimming pools. I liked that when we arrived at 03:00 at night from the airport, the restaurant offered us a night-time snack. The renovation was completed just recently, so everything is new and quite modern. Our only negative experience was a very noisy air condition. Not normal blowing sound, but a constant loud humming from the motor almost impossible to ignore during sleeping time. We therefore had to shut it down during night and keep door open. Ok in October, but with higher outdoor temperature one must prepare with ear plugs. The hotel has only 2 rather small lifts. No problem during our stay, but with all rooms fully booked (7 floors) there will obviously be considerable queuing. The buffet meals had less choice for vegetarians.. WiFi reception was weak at times.. The gym probably needs an additional workout bench.. I wish we would have know this was little Germany. I hated this part of the island. I thought we were in Spain, but everything was in German. They are the most non smiling people on this earth. I am on vacation and I want to have fun. Being around these people made me feel like I was at a funeral. Housekeeping service was not up to scratch. Extra charge for wifi. The isolation in the bedroom is really bad, you can hear what happen next door. The room comes with hand soap, shampoo and two glasses. But the room services doesn't replace the empty package of shampoo and do not give you a new soap when it is finished and they did not replace the dirty glasses. The mineral water should be restock on the daily basis (and not only for the 1st day). The way too many old people around. A little bottleneck at restaurant entrance. Everyone was German. Got woken by the cleaners twice at 8am. A bit early. Paid Wi-Fi, attitude of employees of the pool bar (the rest of the staff however was very nice). Small pool. The quality of the hotel is good but for the location, activities or things to do it was bad value of money I think. It is more for older couples I think. Should cost less. A lot of tourists,queues for breakfast, queues for coffe e.t.c. sometimes reception had a lot of people and it was hard to resolve your question. Rooms are small. terrible smell in the corridors of the hotel, had a bath. being charged for sauna and steam room, and the room was not cleaned very well any day and bed was wornout. 1. Be careful with room location: we changed the room to other side, because of terrible noise from airport... 2.Be careful with neighbors: the walls are very thin... you can hear everything, 3.Be careful with WiFi: you will get inthernet with extremely low speed for extremely expensive price... The capacity of the restaurant isn't enough!!! Long time to be spent awaiting for others to finish their meal in order to have acces to a free table!!!. Bad Aircondition in the room. - internet is very slow despite the fact that one must pay 20 EUR for 1 week; - only 2 elevators for such a big hotel is not enough. Moreover, 4 days out of 7, one elevator was out of order; - time intervals for breakfast and diner too small (2 hours and 2,5 hours respectively), this is why every time there were huge queues of people waiting for a free table; - in some days food was not so good or very salty; many cheap things, low quality;. Hotel bar closes very early!. staff, otroshenie staff to guest.
