The Hotel Mora is a very upscale, well-priced, professionally-run hotel close to all the major cultural attractions in Madrid. We were very happy with everything about the hotel--our room was large & quiet; there was a large bathroom with tons of hot water; and the location, across from the Royal Botanical Gardens and El Retiro Parque and very close to El Prado could not be beat. We had two rooms one of which was a very spacious double with a king size bed. The single room was larger than many others I have stayed in. Spacious and very pleasant public seating area. Very pleasant cafe/bar with good economically priced food.Perfect location and even though the rooms faced onto the main road, excellent double glazing ensured a peaceful nights sleep.

We were very comfortable. One evening desk clerk was extremely helpful in terms of places to go for food and entertainment!. We liked the comfort and location of hotel, it has easy access to train station and bus stop,the restaurants and city centre is all within walking distance.We would stay here when we are in Madrid again and recommend it. Centrally located, near to the museums in the museum triangle. Short walk to the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Staff very good. Food in the restaurant reasonably priced and tasty. Hotel offered storage of luggage. Such a perfect location for museum-going! Everyplace is within walking distance...including a market.. A wonderful surprise is directly behind the hotel...Caixa Forum! Don't miss a visit there!. It's very close to the train station and also to some very interesting touristic atractions. Although breakfast is not included, there's the restaurant close to the reception where we can eat. Internet was really, really slow sometimes making hard to work. Also they don't have laundry service, so if you need to iron something, you better take your own iron machine or you'll need to go out and find a pressing near by (there are and they are cheap... 2,5 euros for a shirt). Nothing. Rooms very small. No English speaking TV stations except children's programs.Woman at reception very helpful & pleasant, man unfriendly and appeared bored. We like everything. Wifi wasn't always working, no fridge in room. wifi wouldn't work in the room despite being told it would. wasn't resolved in the 4 nights I was there. Small room. In my single room the bathroom was very narrow. The washbasin was directly opposite the door and, even though I am slim, I had to leave the door open to use the washbasin comfortably. We began our Europe vacation with a stay in Madrid and ended it a month later in Madrid. Our first stay at Hotel Mora was a much larger room than our second stay. Our bathroom was so much smaller that we no longer had a bidet. The room, on the fourth floor, was so much smaller that we could not find any floor space to open two suitcases at once. We were very disappointed with the seeming downgrade, at the same cost, between our two stays. No laundry service.
