Absolutely loved the Casa de Madrid- easily one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, nothing was too much trouble, really genuinely lovely people taking great care to make our holiday as good and memorable as it could be. The Casa itself is fantastic, amazing location in the heart of beautiful Madrid and it feels very opulent and characterful. There is a great pride in the owner and the people who work there of the traditional and beautiful bui.
all reviews » It's not a hotel in conventional way. I like the ambience and all the elegant deco with a home style. Quite and lots of privacy in good location like this is really extrodinary. Very friendly staff provided good help on the train schedule and wifi in short/late time. We met the hostress when leaving at the door and she was a nice lady! Unique experience and strongly recommend to those people interested in culture. Feeling of being in a home rather than an anonymous hotel. Every room is different. Wonderful book collection. Staff are welcoming, friendly, and went the "extra mile" without being intrusive. Nothing was any trouble. Extras such the bottles of wine and little biscuits a pleasant surprise and a very nice touch. It was like being a guest at a private (luxurious) mansion. Beautifully decorated, with lovely, comfortable, spacious rooms, Casa Madrid is very well located near the Madrid opera house. The staff is very attentive and helpful. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Madrid. Casa Madrid has a perfect location just in front of the opera. The staff was really helpful and flexible to move us in to another room since the one we got was very noisy in our opinion. Breakfast was overpriced. The coffee was pretty bad, which is ironic in a city full of cafes with great coffee. Guests are better off going to one of the many cafes in the area. Please note that this B&B is located in an old apartment building and even though that has its charm you should be aware that it can be noisy from time to time. Also note the extra fee you have to pay to become a member of their club (10 EUR pp). Nothing. Bit difficult to find as there is no signage being a small boutique hotel however look for big black doors that face the theatre at No. 2. A little tricky to find if your taxi driver is not helpful. nothing. Not a lot. No light in the toilet. Everything perfect!!. there was nothing to dislike. Expensive breakfasts. 20 Euro for a continental breakfast, 5 Euro extra for an egg. The classic cupboard toilet. nothing. Transfer in aeroport was late by 15 minutes! left in a taxi. Old fashion, no cool box, No chairs,small room, Noisy.
