Room ok size, comfort acceptable, and has fully stocked kitchen. That last item is the important thing. Otherwise it is the location on the southern edge of a neighborhood in which the locals of madrid come to have afternoon/evening drinks in the many squares and dine in the many inexpensive yet really good restaurants. No luxury here and no atmosphere, but the above two factors make it acceptable.
all reviews » Location is excellent, very clean and modern look and feel, studio is well equipped, and the staff (when available) were very helpful, and allowed me to change rooms when I complained about the uncomfortable beds. Rooms have very individual styles and furnishing so it is not a standardized experience (this is good and bad). Overall, I had a very nice stay. This apartment was one of the best i have ever stayed in, the Receptionist is amazingly helpful and will do anything for you (Booking taxis and shows) It is clean cool and really close to shops and large enough that you can feel you have enough space. It has a lift which is an added bonus in these tall tight streets. Highly Recommend this hotel. Perfect location, everything is so close, within walking distance. We stayed in the newly renovated room number 309 facing the street. Lift access. Great location and we walked everywhere although a metro is located in the next street. Desk not manned. Not good. We missed out on a chance to see an exhibition because there was no way to order tickets to it as there was no one in the little office to help us. Very difficult to find location, not even a sign on the building. I felt the rooms sacrificed comfort for style. Bad noise insulation, especially from neighboring rooms and corridors. Nothing it was perfect. Not very easy to find at arrival. The wooden floor had gaps in several places and the bathroom lighting was dim. On weekend nights, there was noise from the bars below. Some street noise in the evening. I didn't like the fact that there was no soap or shower gel and we weren't wanred about that. We arrived late in the evening and had to run to a store for that. The room was not made every day, no house-keeping service. The WiFi was not very good. Can be a little noisey at night but that is the nature of the central location. Wasn't bad enough to change our opinion of the place. No kettle but we used a pot to boil water. Noise from the repair works in the inner yards of the building. Can't think of anything negative to say!. The walls separating the apartments are so thin that you could hear the neighbors. The beds are not very comfortable, especially the double beds, which are quite narrow for two people. Nothing. Noisy at night due to bars near. Internet didn´t work perfectly. Like most centrally located appartments can be a bit noisy at night when people come out from the nearby bars. Noise from the street all night long on a Saturday night as our room was facing the street with a balcony. Quiet on Sunday night. The studio is very small, but it was enough for us. No soup in toilet. Difficult to find - almost unmarked at street enterance. Limited sound proofing against noisy other guests. Shower takes a while to warm up, no shower door so floor gets wet. Nothing we didn't like. They're missing in the small details.. in our room you simply couldn't take a shower without getting all the floor outside wet (beautiful design but someone should have tried it). * No place to hang the towels. * The room has equipped kitchen, so having a small pack of sugar, tea and coffee could have been very nice, instead of us buying it. it's small change expense that could make the difference. A little bit noisy when guests get in the same apartment as yours ! Because of the (very nice ) parquet it looks like they enter your bedroom, but it only last 2 minutes. Difficult to find. Not much, it was quite difficult to find. No toiletries, not even a bar of soap -- and it seems we forgot our own. It was afternoon though so we were able to go to the store and buy some, but still . . . a bar of soap, please. The shower was terrible. very complex equipment delivering lower quality shower experience. The mais room bed was also not bery confortable for a couple. Looked like the bed and matress showed signs of overuse. Nothing. Nothing- that's why I came back!!. Sewer smell, problem with the cent. Wooden floors plus lack of soft furnishings make it noisy - you will hear your neighbours; drain smell in bathroom. Only coffee maker no jug for tea. As it's located in city center it's quite loudly during nights. Nothing. Comfort. Too many keys, the poor function of wi-fi, the price a little too high. A little dodgy to find the building. Because of the central location, noise heard from the street till 2am up in our apartment, on the third floor as it was street facing. Noise cancelation would be the only issue if you are a light sleeper. I got disapppointed with the view from my room. I forgot my room number but you can see "ruins" from the room. Parking public 17eur.
